How long have Liberator Boats been around? Where are they built today? Are these fresh molds? The 21' looks strikingly similar to the old style 21' Eliminator Daytona.

Liberator Boats have been around for 25 years.
The 21 did look allot like Eliminators 21 at one time, Eliminator has changed their as well as Liberator has changed it's 21.
Liberator now has much more freeboard than Eliminator.

Havasu_Dreamin: Sorry about that, I came up with the name before ever setting eyes on any of the message boards. Kind of felt it was an appropriate name for me as I grew up on Lake Havasu as my family had a vacation home there and now I live in the Mid-West. BTW, don't ask me what I am doing in the Mid-West, I am still trying to figure it out. http://free.***boat.net/ubb/confused.gif
Thanks for all the info guys. I was mainly curious about the manufacture more than anything else. I kind of pride myself an knowing about most major manufactures of hot boats and hadn't ever heard about these guys. Good lookin' boats. Wildman, I have no doubt your boat runs 124mph. Looks like a screamer! http://free.***boat.net/ubb/biggrin.gif

Wildman what props are you running to get that kind of speed. The reason I ask is I have a 95 21 Daytona with twins and only get 109. Are Liberators tunnels that much deeper to pack more air and get that speed, or your balls just that big!

boatmaster, the 21 Liberator has 6 inches more freeboard, but I think the tunnels are about the same. Liberators are normally lighter,1400 lbs with full interior and tanks. The sponson bottoms are pretty flat, which I believe causes the boat to ride more on top of the water. The boat also runs perfectly flat at high speed, actually running slightly negative trim. I was running 30in Spinnelli cleavers at 8900 rpm at 118 mph. Then I got some 32 merc cleavers, and went 123-124 at 8200 rpm. These are'nt lab finished, so there could be another 3-4 mph left. 21 Liberators with 300x's have been running 105-112. I know a guy in Texas who's been running 300 drags at 136-137 mph at 11,000 rpm, and yes he's blown 2 powerheads so far!

Wildman have you had any problems spinning your motors that high in RPM? May be I'm just to worried, but I'm only spinning 7500 with 32's. I was going to go to 34s to keep my R's down. Are your motors stock??
Thanks

When I first got my boat, it had no props. I got a good deal on 34 Mazco cleavers, and was turning them 75-7700, but the acceleration just was'nt there, then I threw a blade at 8000 rpm, so I got a good deal on the 30 spinnelli's. The heads have been cut, so I'm running 170-175 lbs compression. My mechanic guy, who's been doing it for 30 years, said I can run 93 octane since the boat is light, and there is so much hp there is not much strain on the motors. I have'nt had any problems, but I don't hold it wot more than a minute or so. I have run 112-115 for 12 miles before though wiyh no problem. You need to run with us sometime. Where do you live. see-ya later WILDMAN

Blown509Liberator: Just relocated to Indy from the Chicago area, so yes I know about the chain o' lakes. I don't make it up there to often though because it stays cold for so long. I am going to try to make it for fire water this year though, so if you are around, we ought to hook up. I know what your boat looks like from the pictures on the site. If you see a 19' Eliminator Daytona, 6 shades of blue on white with a 2.4 Merc, that is me. Hope to be up to the chain this summer. If you ever come down south, shoot me an email. It is warmer down here. http://free.***boat.net/ubb/cool.gif

I bought my Liberator 21' from Dave Adams in Crowley, Tx. After seeing his ad in ***boat i decded to pay him a visit in Crowley, Tx. I was sold after talking to him for a couple hours about boats and seeing a white boat with blue lightning bolts accross it's deck. Girlfriend and I picked the hardware and gauges we wanted, decided on a 225 pro max and the rest is history. I have enjoyed the boat immensely. The tall freeboard was a consideration as you all know havasu can get a little choppy at times. I do most of my boating in that beautiful oaisis called yuma, az which happens to be my home town. The boat rides nice and is a good ski boat. The boat has perfomed flawlessly.
Unfotunately, i am in England where the weather is miserable but i am planning to be in the great USA by August and i will hit the river as soon as i arrive.
cheers,
js

boatmaster, do you run your motors on the sponsons or in the tunnels? Mine are in the tunnels and 5 inches above the bottom. We set up one with the motors on the sponsons, and it was 8 mph slower. Maybe that's the difference. If I knew how to post a pic on this site, I'd show you a motor shot. see-ya WILDMAN

My motors are on the sponsons, and only two
inchs above the bottom. Who reworked your ECU
to raise your rev limiter?
Thanks

I bought the boat with the motors like they are. What props are you running? Turning in or out?

Wildman I am running mazco 30os cleavers. This was with CLEs 1.87 turning in. I just changed to sportmasters, but there 2.1.
I am going to try 32 and 34 merc four blade
cleavers this week. I know I will end up changing back to 1.87? Do you think I have anything to gain by turning out?
Thanks

I was told by Liberator that it does'nt seem to make any difference in speed or handling. I think the motor location is the thing, even though it's alot of work. The wieght of your boat may also be a factor. Give me your email address, and i'll send you some pics. I'm at liberatorboats@yahoo.com see-ya WILDMAN
