I will be off from Friday the 30th through July 4th and was considering hitting up ol Havasu. Will it be a joke to launch, find places to hang out and just have fun?

Im actually talking about the sat and sunday. Im assuming they will be worse than the actual 4th. We were thinking of hitting it up at least one day.
Will the Sandbar be closed even though the weekend is not actually connected to the 4th?

We've done Havi for the 4th the last few years. Just make sure to launch early and don't get off the lake that late. It is crowded but not like Memorial if you ask me. We'll be out from the 6th-14th this year.

Good Idea...Cattail has a nice launch ramp....never get the drunks there either...Definatley a shorter wait.

Like some have said...just launch super early and get off the lake late. It will be a fun weekend for sures...we'll be there the whole week. Don't stress on the crowds...theres plenty of places on the lake that arent crowded.

Cattail is a great place if you pull off when it's still light, but I usually don't, and hate driving back from anywhere in the dark. Too many people still going too fast.

I'm sorry to inform everyone, but to help prevent collisions, cut down on rowdiness, lewd behavior, fights and litter, the Colorado River from the Mexican Border to the confluence of the Colorado and Green Rivers in Colorado will be closed from June 30th to July 5th.
Feel free to pass this message on to all PWC forums and non-Hot Boat members.
Thank you for understanding, and please boat safely.
