I don't believe any of the rumors until the truck is parked on the lot, but the rumor is a 6.7l stroker version of the 5.9l. Still inline 6.

I'd find it hard to believe that GM would let an Allison product be put in a light duty Dodge product either. Then again, stranger things have happened, espeically since the Germans bought out Detroit Diesel.

They are doing a new 6.7 liter I-6 cummins in there new work trucks, but it has less HP and more torque then the current 5.9 Liter. I check the same thing when I bought my Dodge, I am happy to get 19 mpg's to the river

I got my MegaCab at the end of march, and I have nothing but good stuff to say, I put a 6" lift on 35's, and like I said on the way to the river I get 19mpg @ 80 mph.

I just put 950 miles in two days on an 06' Cummins(brothers truck) 4X4, Automatic, 6inch lift with 35's. 11.2 miles per gallon, checked with math. By the way, the overhead said 10.9 average. I love the truck, but the diesel mileage sucks...

Did you chip it? Have you done a tire size calibration? Here's my 06 5.9L Quad Short Bed, 4" lift on 35 Toyos. I'm getting 12 to 16 depending on how I drive it with no chip. SuperChip has just come out with a chip my friend swears by. I'm letting him do the testing 1st.

With all that heat the twins are generating they won't sell them to you unless you buy a fire truck along with it. Don't want to see a big recall on burnt up Ford carcasses... :D :D :D

I did the edge ez, with a drop in air filter replacement. The chip is something like 65hp/200lbs, I also have 373 in the rear. On the 35's my truck is running less rpm's at speed which is helping my mileage. Now when I am just driving around I see somewhere in the range of 14-15, but when I set the cruise on the longer drive it in the 18-19. No calibration on the speedo, so at 70 on the speedo I am at 1700 rpm's and 79 mph, (or so) you know give or take.
Toby shut your month and have fun in the rain.... Thanks for the eight mile road picture

My local Dodge dealer did my speedo adjustment for the larger tires for $84. The Superchip has it built in: http://superchips.com/product.phtml?p=40&mmk=626&msg=%2B

I would say if you hand calc. your mpg you would around 13-15. My truck, an 04.5 with 4.10 and 35’s, gets right around 13, I would post a pic. but I have no idea how to link it.
How are your EGT's with the EZ box?

UnionJack
06-19-2006, 07:44 AM
No idea, there is no exhaust prob. But the box and directions say there is no danger with the set up.

What setting do you run it on when you are towing & how much weight are you towing?

UnionJack
06-19-2006, 11:04 AM
Yet to tow, but I will leave it on level two when it comes time, and that is 40hp and 150lbs torque. The new boat on trailer should be about 10000, give or take
