Maybe this has already been posted on here, but I saw on the News this morning that CalTrans is going to start construction projects on I-15 & I-215 at Devore. To replace deteriorated pavement and add an additional lane for slow vehicles, to improve traffic flow.
Work is scheduled to begin sometime this summer and finish in winter 2007.
Furthermore in addition to the roadwork, CalTrans is going to have both the North & Southbound lanes on interstates 15 & 215 closed during weekends for 9 weeks. Closures are tentatively schedule for Friday evenings through Sundays.
Here's the link to the Devore 2 Project (http://www.dot.ca.gov/dist8/devore2/pdf/devore2.pdf)

Wonder what times they are going to close all traffic on the weekends? Combine this construction with the construction on the 40.....might need to go back to going via the 10 for a while.

not sure if anyone here uses hwy 138 between the 15 fwy and palmdale.. but parts of that will be closed for construction also. right now they have been doing escorts.. but there will be periods where it will closed down.

There was an article in the paper and they said they were going to try to close Friday night (after everyone leaves for Vegas/River etc) and then open Sunday AM. They are trying to co-ordinate with Vegas regarding special weekends etc....Did they post the weekends yet?
That is so going to suck!

The put signs up a couple weeks ago  looks the drive will get a little longer starting next week
Combine that with the 215/15 route, I might have to telecommute
