Nice pics.....How was the water temp?? Anyone go swimming?
Do you notice much reduction in power/speed due to that high altitude??
What a beautiful lake!!!

The water was a boiling 55 degrees. I went down 2 sizes in props because of the altitude and lost 20 m.p.h. off of the top end and could barely get up on plane.

Amazing what that altitude does, first time i went to Powell, which is just a little over 3000 I think, I had to buy an aluminum prop two sizes smaller. What's the altitude at Tahoe on the lake......5,000??
Anyway, nice looking boat and great pics!!! I've stayed at the Hyatt Regency at Incline and swam in the lake at the beach in late summer, maybe it was 70 to 75 degrees.

Greg, your boat looks great running up there. Come up to Tahoe with us in July and I will show you coves where the water is warm, the drinks are cold and the women are out of this world. The poker run is on July 8. I will be up there most of the time from June 25 on. Don't miss the fourth there if possible the fireworks over the lake at south shore are cool.

If you've never been boating on Lake Tahoe, then you can't believe how COBALT BLUE that water is. Looks unreal. Nice pics!

For you so-cal peeps. If you ever want to make a road trip up to Norcal I highly recommend that you either try Tahoe or Shasta for your next road trip.
Both lakes have beautiful scenery. Tahoe is stunning this time of year.
Nice pics BTW.

Us Sierra Nevada types are obviously prejudiced in this matter, but we remain firmly convinced that there really is only One Great Lake; and it is, without a doubt....
Tahoe...

In that last picture we were anchored in a little over 30' of water and I could look down and see my anchor sitting on the bottom of the lake like we were in 3' of water... it really is that clear. It's kind of a weird feeling when doing about 50 m.p.h. in 20'+ of water and your watching rocks and other stuff on the bottom of the lake pass under you.
