Towed my boat for the first time yesterday with my 06 Silverado 4X4 with 2/5 drop. towed the boat no problem. I was worried about how it would do being lowered. Went to Camp Far West.

I launched the boat from the shoreline (not the boat ramp) a guy wanted to tell me I would get stuck launching with a 2 wheel drive. I thanked him for the advice and launched and retrived the boat without spinning a tire (in 4 wheel drive of course).
The boat ran the best it ever has 85+ MPH. It goes without saying the boat is Chevy powered.

Does the boat match my truck ? Or should I get a new boat that matches?

Interesting. And I thought the norm was to raise them.

Because I can.
It handles better. It feels better acelerating and stopping. I work out of this truck, it's easier to get tools in an out of the bed without hitting things on the side of the truck. Easier to put heavy stuff in it. Easier to get in and out of the vehicle. When I take my elderly parents to docters appointments etc. they can get in and out. I drive my wifes real estate clients around in it, better for them. Why not lower it?
You dont have to be lifted to 4 wheel, try racing 1 of those all wheel drive (low to the ground) Sabarus, offroad, with your lifted trucks you will come out of that race with egg on your face. In the snow those little cars run circles around lifted trucks ( not that I would ever own 1).
I see a lot of guys with jacked up trucks, I bet I spend more time offroad in 4 wheel drive than 90 % of them.
What looks better

It's still a 4X4 just gotta be a good wheel man.
I wanted 1 of these SS all wheel drives but we needed a crew cab.

So I just made a clone SS AWD crew cab.

Pull off the trim and emblems, slap some escalade handles on there and you'd be amazed at how clean it will look :)
