Not So Fast

Did anyone else see the NewsPaper reports that a council man whom I wont mention his name (Bruce Hinman) says that after the unfortunate drowning (and indeed it is unfortunate) of a 10 year old boy this past weekend that the law of NO SWIMMING IN THE CHANNEL will have to be addressed. His thought was and I love this. If you are in the water up to your waist then you be "WADING" and thats ok, If you go past this point then you be "SWIMMING" and therefore subject to a citation :rollside: I'll bet LHPD will love enforcing this. What will happen if you "Dip your head in but dont go any deeper" So as I understand this there is a free zone of about 4 to 5 feet from the sand to the point of not be SWIMMING that you can stand in the water and drink and you wont be breaking any laws. What was that??? This is whats leading this city folks!!!!!!!! NSF

We ned to find some real leaders to come into this twon and address the real issues at hand...
Drugs, property crime.
They go hand and hand in this town.
Also get a chief in here to lead these troops, hopefully become friendlier in the process

F*, Where are we gonna Pee!!! :crossx:
Why don't they just make it a law to have life vests on <12yrs. in the channel. I think this would be more effective.

I am sure they want perminant residents, but I would switch to run, we would need all the support of the ***boats. I bet if we all stuck behind one person we could get them elected

Do you know how hot it is to constantly wear a life jacket? Kids would be passing out from heat stroke.. LOL

At least they'd be breathing! I can't be much hotter than on the boat at 5 mph driving through the channel.
Just while they are in the water of course. :rollside:
I think a lot of the problem is because the water level is so low that people, myself included, are having to go further out and the beach drops off about 15ft out. I'm 5'10" and I have to swim to get around the back of the boat to enter. Raise the water if possible, and make kids where vests while swimming.

Oh trust me these people would not like me in city government.
The PD would be required to wave to people and smile,
THE FD would get a raise ASAP
Get this sewer project finished in half the time
restore the English village
bring back the luster of this town
AND BUILD TWO MORE LARGE BOAT RAMPS

Sounds good to me.
How'd you like old Harvey voting against funding the FD and PD to the tune of $1.3 million but have no problems signing up the city to $22 million in debt by purchasing the village? Nice logic!
