GM just announced that on all 2006 trucks, tahoes, and suburbans will get 0% for 72 months. this includes all credit tiers, i believe. this is going on from 6/27-7/5.
2007 tahoes/suburbans will get:
0% for 36
1.9% for 48
2.9% for 60
3.9% for 72
pretty cool program if you are in the market for a new vehicle. i am sure Jay will post a note about this.

Sorry man, i meant to call you. the guy at Bradley was great. it was the
injector harness for the #2 and #3 injectors. so the truck was running on 3
cylinders. he luckily had one in stock and got it replaced in like 3 hours on
saturday. so we went back out there Saturday night and picked it up. got
home last night at like 8:00. it all worked out good. made for a long
stressful friday and satruday though.

Pretty sure the 1500crew 4x4 with the 345HO motor will run you right at 30K (MSRP is close to 40K)
Payments would be close to $450 with zero down :)
I would be interested in the 2x4 1500 with the vortec max (I don't think they do a crew in the 2x4 so a ex cab might have to work)

a 1LT (same as the old LS) LBZ 4X4 retails for 41800. you could buy it for
around 38000. give or take a few hundy. problem is with this 0% for 72 is

when chevy did there retail price reductions they screwed the dealers. they
dropped the retails but left the invoices the same. so they basically just
took money out of the dealers pockets.
therefore, the huge discounts off retail are no longer.

I still can't justify the cost of a deisel for my towing application.

The Dodge 5.7 makes as much poer to the wheels as the chevy 5.3 and weighs more.
The HO 6.0 in the Half Ton chevy makes almost 40rwhp more than the dodge and will literally run circles around it. I have driven everything out there and the chevy with the Vortec Max impressed me the most followed by the Titan.(Titan interior sucks i.m.h.o.)
The Dodge feels OK but I don't like the interior or the rear seat.(Styling is OK)
I honestly love my crew 5.3 2x4 for the price (I don't like the color-Jen picked it and I would put wheels on it)

I just like the size and interior of the chevy.Feels less plasticy to me?
Dodges seem to become rattle traps well before dodges.(Our SRT-4 hauled ass but you could just tell it was fauling apart)
The Nissan is a really nice truck and has a great 5 speed tranny and a sweet motor.Problem is the interior looks the same as a 11K Sentra.
Fords with the gas motors just suck there 5.4 liter makes as much power as a chevy 4.8.(I like the powerstroke)

The new Duramax:
The DURAMAX 6600’s horsepower and torque increase and emissions reduction are enabled by a strengthened iron cylinder block and a lower compression ratio. The lower compression reduces stress on the engine by reducing the peak cylinder firing pressure. This, in turn, allows more fuel to be burned – more fuel means more power – while the lower compression helps reduce NOx emissions. Lower compression also helps reduce noise and vibration, making the all variants of the 6600 a quieter and smoother engine.

Don't get me wrong the deals were smoking.....
Any time you can get someone to loan you free money it's a great deal :)
You would have way more buying power (since your truck is in the clear) than me and if you keep cars 4-6 years you need to pull the trigger.
I can't justify rolling 2K into the loan to pay off my current truck that works great.
The smart deceision for you would be to buy a a 2x4 or 4x4 Crew 1500 (5.3L with 3:73 gears) unless you really need to tow over 6K pounds. You could smoke a great deal on that truck and use your dodge as a down (Hopefully you would get a couple G's)
My guess is your payment would be under $350.00 a month depending on options.
On a side note I had a buddy do a search on a 06 2x4 1500 with the Vortec max and they couldn't find one.(Gone)
