What is the biggest tire size that you can run on a '06 Chevy 2500 HD? The truck is a 2WD and I would like to put the largest size I can without losing any turning radius or have any rubbing. I can't live with these tiny tires!
Anyone have any experience different sizes?

i would guess anywhere from a 33 to 35. depending if the truck sit level or if the front sits a little lower.

285/75R16 is about the biggest you can fit on a stock rim (if you have 16's) and even then it will rub a little. It's about a 33" x 11.5" tire but it's a little wide for the stock rim. There's a few guys here running 18x9 rims with a lower profile tire that seems to fit nice...sorry I don't have the size but I'm sure someone will chime in.
35" will not fit without a lift.
Good luck,
Chris

35's may not fit a 2wd but they will fit a 4wd seen it done....crank the torsions and get out the sawsall!

I am looking at some 18x9 wheels and was thinking about some 285/60R18. They measure about 31.5". I had the 285/75R16 on my 2500 burb but they did rub a little on the frame when doing a tight turn. With this truck being longer, I don't want lose any turning radius.
Anyone running an 18x9 wheel? What size tires?

285's Goodrich are the biggest we could get on.
We tried the 295's no fit.

285's will fit, but your much better off with a set of 265's - better turning radius and not much loss on the low end. You can find some aftermarket 16x9 pretty cheap too.
