The lady that bought this boat paid $12 million.
She's has it up for sale for $15.9 million.
They charge $3000.00 per hour plus fuel to go for a ride.
70 mph in 1939 for boat that big. Not bad.

Does that price include trailer? Would I be able to launch that at Windsor?

Funny how they say after repowering it will go 70 at sea level, huh? I've seen her run, she looks good up there, but I would question above 50...

Harrah did quite engine upgrade.
She was launched on July 14, 1940 at Tahoe Boat Company, where she still lives, and was kept in a boathouse specially built by Whittell. THUNDERBIRD was originally powered by twin Kermath 550 hp engines.
In 1962, following Whittell's death, resort-casino owner Bill Harrah purchased the boat from the Whittell estate. Harrah added the flying bridge to the boat's stainless steel top, and repowered her with twin 1000 hp Allison aircraft conversion engines, allowing a top speed of 70 mph at sea level.

Nice looking old boat....but I don't think I'd want to go 70 mph in her....
