This is from the Tri-State News Network (http://www.justsaynews.com/) Not sure what it means, open or not, but this is what is in the article.
July Fourth Explosion
TRI-STATE - ThereÂ’s a welcome mat out for visitors to the Colorado River and Lake Havasu as restaurants, hotels, and other businesses prepare for a profitable holiday weekend. More families are expected than the busy Memorial Day holiday, but the waterways will be filled with fun-loving boaters.
Law enforcement is geared up with what Interim Police Chief Dan Doyle tells TSN is “zero tolerance.” Multi-force officers, beefed-up boat patrols and choppers in the air, will especially watch out for OUI's, safety violations, and boating accidents. Over-drinking by adults and underage consumption by minors will be especially be watched-for by law enforcement. Lake Havasu City's Bridgewater Channel will be especially busy since there are restrictions elsewhere. Mohave County Sheriff's representative Trish Carter tells TSN the focus will be on two areas in particular.
"We don't want the Sand Bar to become a sore spot like it has in previous years. Therefore the Sand Bar is going to be limited and restricted [for public access] this weekend." She adds, "OUI, by all means, that's number one as well as PFD's for children ages 12 years and below."
Another hot spot MCSO officers want to keep in check is the Steamboat Cove area on Lake Havasu. San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Sergeant Tim Smith says he has 47 additional personnel involved, including paramedics. He says he, "doesn’t see the large party crowd” seen on Memorial Day weekend, but still huge numbers of boaters on the waters.

Hmmmmm.....Thats very interesting. They need to keep the Sandbar open. It will definetely thin out the crowd in the channel.

Hopefully it will thin out the Steamboat crowd as well as the intersate we call a lake getting there. It would be nice to be able to relax by going south on the lake with the family.
