Hello boys and girls,
It's that time of year again, time for the biggest little poker run on the West coast. Kick off the season big time at the Spring Heatwave 2002.
Once again Lake Havasu will turn into the horsepower mecca of the universe on April 26 & 27, 2002. Perfect location, weather and water...what more could you ask for?

Is it true that the Nautical is already sold out? I called them last week and that's what they said, but it didn't sounds like they really knew for sure.....

It sucks - every year you have the AHBA Poker Run on the same weekend as the NASCAR races at California Speedway. I can never make it to the poker run. I've had season tickets and an RV spot since California Speedway opened. Maybe next year you could schedule it a week later or earlier. http://free.***boat.net/ubb/redface.gif

I hear you on those dates, a lot of Cali people always bring that up (including myself). But with so many manufacturer regattas, other regattas and events, that date is about the only one open. I miss Nascar in the backyard, but am heading to Vegas this weekend for the race http://free.***boat.net/ubb/biggrin.gif http://free.***boat.net/ubb/biggrin.gif(which of course is the opening weekend of the boat show http://free.***boat.net/ubb/mad.gif http://free.***boat.net/ubb/mad.gif
The Nautical might be sold out, don't forget they are in the middle of a major renovation, I believe most of the older rooms have been knocked down.
A lot of people knew about the pending construction and booked their rooms in advance...way in advance.
The Island Inn and Queens Bay should have some rooms still open.
Se ya guys out there,

Don't worry about the Nautical being full. That might be a good thing if you don't like bugs crawling around your room. The other places mentioned work just fine and are MUCH cheaper. You do have to make it over to the cove, however for the drinking, conversation and sponsor booths. Should be a fun weekend! http://free.***boat.net/ubb/smile.gif

Somebody call PETA...where are the roachs going to live if they have knocked down half of the rooms????
Stay someplace else the Nautical is a hole.

Call Connie @ Queens Bay
The only nice inexpensive place to stay.

I thought that the roaches at the Nautical were a luxury? At least that's what they told me at the front desk when I complained. Once you work up enough sweat because the broken AC doesn't cool the room at all, you hardly feel the roaches crawling on ya'!!!J/K, glad that the Nautical is finally rennovating....I'll check out Island Inn or Queen's Bay...THX
