Boat Parade Participation Sign Up
LAKE HAVASU CITY, AZ - Sure itÂ’s five monthÂ’s away. But Lake Havasu CityÂ’s annual Christmas Boat Parade of Lights is already on some peopleÂ’s minds. The London Bridge Yacht Club (LBYC) was awarded the contract to put on this yearÂ’s big event. (ItÂ’s among the American Bus AssociationÂ’s Top 100 Events for several years in a row and won a GovernorÂ’s Tourism Award last year for the best event in a rural community.)
“The Boat Parade is such an important event for us,” says Jarrod Lyman, CVB Vice-President. “It brings us so many visitors and garners us so much attention during a time of year that would otherwise be slow for us.” Tammy Kastelz, is the parade chair. She says the club is also already accepting applications for interested participants. She adds that “the sailboats are back.” The sailboats have traditionally been the last entry in each year’s parade. After an absence last year, they will be back at their anchor position in the boat parade. To sign up, contact Dan Remy or Tammy Kastelz, Parade Chairpersons at (928) 854-5292
