Well I don't have to worry about my trees getting enough water while I'm gone.

Were you the ones I saw haulin ass back from the sandbar about 5 or so. It was raining pretty hard so even with my binoculars I had trouble seeing the boats. Usually with them I can tell whose or what kind of boat it is while I'm BBQing. NSF

How do you BBQ,look thru your binocks and post at the same time. Are you in the Refuge to see boats coming back to Havi?

I hit rain most of the way through I-40 on the way to Havasu this afternoon. I took this picture right after rolling into my driveway this afternoon. My two boys wanted to find the "pot of gold"!

What's up with the weather lately? Sure seems early for monsoon season.

We were in Steamboat all afternoon yesterday and we thought a little rain, what could it hurt. Then it rained more, and more and more. It stopped for a bit so we thought let's try and make it to the marina before the rest of it dumps. Well we got maybe halfway to the Palms and had 0 visibility, painful rain, wind chops, so we flipped a U turn and tucked back into Steamboat for another 2 hours and then had one of the best after storm rides I have had in a long time. 6" ripples and a little head wind is what that deckboat seemed to like with 7 people and 70 gallons. Thanks for a great afternoon everyone (Blackcloud 75 and family, Ken and Tifani, Mike and Kim) Nick

Nope, not the refuge, too expensive for me. we are around PVnorth, lake side of 95. As far BBQing looking thru binoc's and posting, and sipping a silver bullet, gifted I guess :D . Being able to see whose boat is a little stretch but as to the type, i can usually make out what the boat is, unless it's something distinctive with graphics or sponsors names like the poker run boats. Peace :chi: NSF

Question seriously, do you ever worry about the boat filling up with rain? Ive seen some of these storms although not often (for instance last year) that poured like that for hours, is it a concern? My boat has 3 bilge pumps so that might make it but "V" bottoms have just one right. Are you ever concerned about it?? I would be. NSF

NSF, our boat is like yours and our auto bilge was firing off about every 15 minutes for 10-30 seconds each time. That's how much rain was dumping in Steamboat yesterday.
