It's really blowing hard right now at my house, and the sky off in the distance is black.

Looks like the Springs and Parker are going to get punished. We got stuck in one last Sunday and our boat was wet for at least 3 days afterwards. It f'n poured in Steamboat that day. Radical but a pain in the butt to clean up afterwards. Kinda nice though, because rain doesn't leave water spots I learned.

Oh no come over here and tell me that, When it rains over here all the crap in the air from chi-town and the motor city blow in and we get a grity feeling on our cars and boats :crossx:

It appears most of the moisture is drying up from the heat.

Lost power for about 1 1/2 hours here in Parker. Downed power pole along 95 between Parker and Quartzsite. Just now came back on. (7:55 PM)Quartzsite's supposed to be out for another 3-4 hours.
Wind and dust, but no rain.

We just pulled off the lake.....
MAN.....was it bad !!!!!
A few sunk boats off of Site-6 and a bunch of damage from boats hitting each other....
4-5' swells & white-caps in Thompson Bay.....
Everyone was stuffing the bows.....
A bunch of damaged bimini tops.....
This was one of the worst I've been caught in.....
No rain, just heavy winds.....
Glad to be home....

Damn, that sucks. Never good to hear about sunk boats and boats hitting each other, regardless of speed.
Lots of wind up here, no rain....
Wish I was there to watch it all. Hopefully no call outs this weekend.....

Ugh...
Got some gel damage in a few spots....
The waves were so big in the Nautical harbor that I popped three 8" fenders against other boats....
Then decided, like most others, to take my chanced in Thompson Bay.....
I felt REALLY sorry for all the ski boats moored up on the opposite side of the Nautical bay....They REALLY had it bad bouncing off each other.....
What a mess......
Out in Thompson Bay it was horrible......
Waves crashing over the bow and in my face.....Made it impossible to see...
Like Miguel, I almost hit a few jet skis that were running fast in the bay, not to mention 50 boats surfing the waves everywhere and going different directions......
Thanks to Aaron who pick my truck up from Site-6 and pull me out at Windsor......
The wind was Blowing from the Southeast, so Windsor was a bit sheltered...
Hey!...If anyone finds an 8" fender with a 6' purple rope attached, please send it home.....It must have come off somewhere between Nautical and the ramp...

Was out there with Boat Floating, Bling Bling,Grey Goose and about 8 others from the boards up by Topock when it rolled in. WOW. We were beached on the turn right before the bridge on the left, came out of nowhere. We were going to tough it out on the beach but decided to head up to Topock and have dinner and cocktails.
Talk about an eerie ride back to Havasu in the pitch black with no moon :crossx:

I was smart. I put the boat away at 4:00 and drove to the Turtle and watched the fun from there. When you see black clouds over the hills to the east, good chance there's going to be problems.

I wanted to stay and hang with you guys, but we had plans to BBQ and swim in the afternoon. When the storm rolled in, I was glad all I had to worry about was the umbrella in the pool.

Today is looking just like yesterday. The sky is getting full of dark ugly clouds. Right now, little or no wind, but if it is like yesterday, it will be blowing the hair off the dogs soon.

IT's called looking out for each other. I think it should be done on a regular basis during monsoon's. If I am hanging around the house by the pool I don't mind checking a couple times a day. What's the problem?

Just sat in the channel and got my face slammed with sand. Just about finished wiping down the boat right before it rolled in. Needless to say, the boat was dirty again.
