I use this boat for EVERYTHING...............................including fishing. It has a fishfinder/gps and it works! We recently had a great day on MOHAVE and got the catch of the day out of Cottonwood. Also,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,fish slime wipes off.

Nice catch...and as an added bunus, you even have a sink to clean it in... :)

Nice touch(lol) I could use one side of the sink as a live well.
Actually, we were out testing a motor when we caught these fish. A customer ordered a motor from Germany and asked if I could put 10-15 hours on it for him before I sent it over.........................I said NO PROBLEM :)
The boat ran 98.7 mph at 5800 at Mohave with this motor. It makes an easy 848 hp w/5 lbs of boost.

Gary, it you don't mind me asking, how fast are you towing that wakeboarder? It seems a little faster than normal speed, not that I'm surprised. :)

To be honest, I am not sure what speed wakeboarders are supposed to wakeboard at, but I was pulling my friend at approx 22 mph in this pic.
Trolling speed varies on prop pitch :rollside: :rollside: :rollside:

You all should know that it was "Africa Hot" that weekend on Mohave. 125 when I passed the thermometer at Baker. At the lake it was a pressure cooker with all kinds of humidity. Gary that motor makes some power! (not that I'm surprised :D )

It makes an honest 848 all day on 89 octane(91 to be safe). It makes 925+ with a bit smaller pulley on 91-93 octane, and it can make 990+hp with a very small top pulley and some 104 octane in the tank :220v: It's my favorite motor! :rollside: I am making some cosmetic changes to it for 2007 and it should be my #1 motor. I really enjoy building this one.

You never know,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, ,,,,I will keep that in mind. But when you fall in love with the motor,,,,,,,,,,,,I may never see you again  :rollside:BTW, It was no five minute task pulling that quad-rotor out and plugging this in, but I am always R&Ding something, so that's the cost of doing business.

Just got back from another fun filled trip at Mohave with some new fish pics. I got my personal record with this one, and made catch of the day,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,AGAIN! :rollside: You should see the fishing boats stop and watch when we are pulling in fish like this,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,its hilarious. For inquiring minds, we now have 132 hours on this boat/motor.

Is that a fish finder screwed to the dash?!

TPI

I would say "bolted to the dash" in a professional manner.

What are you using to catch these fish? I have always wanted to go float at Mojave and fish! Do you anchor near the shore or do you float out near the middle?

I just drift/float in about 35'+ about 50' off of the fingers that stick out in the lake. Cut an anchovie in 3-4 pieces(use one piece) with a #2 hook with a good weight about 18" up and throw it toward the bank, and drift,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,they will come!

What, no downriggers? :D

What, no downriggers? :D
That's like an advanced fishing technique. I just find the fish, throw an anchovie at them, and drink frosty amber colored beverages while I wait.
