OK its official. The beast is for sale.
2001 Yamaha G-16.
23hp Briggs and Stratton V-twin. Very fast and powerful. Custom clutch. Header with super trap exhaust. Only 2 tanks of gas has gone through it.
Front and rear coil over suspension. Rides very well. Eats up rough stuff for a golf cart.
Roll cage with built in back seat with new upholstery.
Chrome steering wheel, and steering columm cover.
Carbon Fiber dash
Headlights, tailights, brake lights, and turn signals.
12" aluminum wheels with 25" 489 XT tires.
Sony CD player with 2-6x9 speakers and plug in for MP3 player.
Have a bunch of extras to go with it.
It is green stickered in Ca. and I have a pink slip for it.
All it needs is paint and it will be a sick cart.

Thats a good question. I've had 2 other people ask me that. Its in Havasu right now but I will be bringing it home this coming weekend. Heres a pic of it next to a Rhino to kinda get a height comparison.

I would guess it is 4-5 inches taller than a Rhino unless that picture was taken on really un level ground.

That is a nice cart but I have to agree I don't think it will fit in a toy hauler, how ever I'm sure you could modify the cage for a reasonable amount

With 4 rachet straps from each of the A arms to the top of the cage and some air out of the tires it might fit? :) :idea:
Dave is tall so he built the cage so he didn't look like Harry and the Hendersons while driving. :crossx:

The picture may be a little decieving. I'll measure it when I get it home this weekend. It is wider than a stock rhino. As for the cage, unless you are a little guy, I wouldn't modify it. The seat is higher than a Rhino so the cage is actually perfect. Well its perfect for my 6' 2" tall ass. :crossx: I would think it would fit fine in a toy hauler as long as you don't have the fold down bed by the rear door. If you do then it aint fittin.

What do you consider easy? :crossx: Its on there pretty good. 10 bolts and its off. And if your worried about the height its just under 81 inches to the highest point on the cage.

I GPS'd it 1 time and it ran 40 mph on flat ground with the old 23" tires. It now has 25" tires so it may go a little faster. I'd say close to 50 on a down hill straightaway. It doesn't handle the curves like a vette so you will have to slow down on turns. Its more fun in the dirt them on the street I think.

they are cool with Rhinos. had ours there twice. No fun keeping it under 10MPH though. elec cart for the Islander is still the hot set-up IMO.

It's more for cruising around the Island. The dunes on the other side by Crazy Horse, & going to the Turtle & Site 6. The cart is fun, but way too slow to take outside the park.
Plus with a Rhino, I can drive it to your house to pee on your truck tires.

Get the 5pts/CVT filter through BRP. Let me find you the number to the guy I got my CDI from.

You need to order some padded crow 5pts,CVT filter and CDI before you ever drive it.

I wen't with the individual shoulder straps (Not the V's)
I built a cross bar to hook the shoulder harnesses to.

I take it you welded that bar on? Does it have tabs on it for the lap belts or am I gonna have to weld those on too?

We fabbed it up and welded it on. We also made a mount so we could tie it into the factory head rest X bars. It all bolts together.I also welded a nut under the hole you see in the middle to screw my flag into.
I drilled a hole under the seat latch for the 5th point and put a heavy dudy washer on top and bottom. It's strong but the metal that it's bolten through is not very thick.
