What's the story with the compound at the end of HWY 95 between Railroad Pass and Boulder?
You know, where 95 and 93 merge north of Searchlight?
That place with the gates and the security and the waterfalls.
Who owns that place?

Right at the end of the 95? Cascata Golf Course (http://www.caesars.com/Cascata/) maybe? $300-$500 per round depending upon time of year.....

I always wondered that too, it has some serious security and no tresspassing signs. Looks expensive.

What side of town do you live in Vegas? I run up there all the time, my parents live at Sahara and Buffalo. I would like to get someone to show me around Lake Mead.

500 a round?????????? Do you get a happy ending with that? :rolleyes:Doubt it, but you do get to pay for the following in addition to the green fees (according to the site): "ForeCaddies are mandatory, suggested fee and tip is $50 per person." Yikes! :rollside:

Northwest, and I just pulled my boat up from Havasu. The boat will be up and running by Sept 1.
You are more than welcome to get on the Dalmation on Mead. If it isn't fixed or if you aren't here while it is, we can still hang for some drinks around some local pubs.
PM me and I'll give you some info..

I'll drag my Kachina up, we had it up there last week and hit Havasu on the way home Saturday. I was worn out after all the driving and all the lakes, so we pulled out early Sunday and headed for home. I saw you in the channel.
Hitting some local clubs would be cool, we're like tourists there, we never know where to hang out.

I am told Harrahs owns the course and, it is for high rollers only, of coarse at those prices that would be the case anyway. Don't know just the way the story was told.

That is correct. From the site.....
"Cascata is primarily reserved for guests registered at Harrah's Entertainment properties, with limited availability for guests of other Las Vegas hotels. For room reservations and rate information please call:

When it was first built, I believe it was for MGM high rollers only. May have changed hands. There was a cover on a golf magazine with Tiger T'ing off while standing ON the water...

Magic, that sounds right. And, since they own like 8 or 9 properties in vegas my guess is they use it for themselves.
Now that my curiosity is up, i think I will check into it...

Similar to Shadow Creek (http://www.shadowcreek.com/pages/index_main.asp) which is owned by MGM-Mirage.
