What happened with Genesis and Joel and Rudy Casillas? There was a thread a few months back about them taking the molds in the middle of the night and leaving Genesis. The thread was deleted by Hot boat. The Genesis web site has been down. I went by Genesis and the owner Jerry or John was there. the place was like a ghost town. I have been by there several times and have never seen him before. Joel and Rudy were always helping the foot traffic.
Then out of nowhere Exile boats pops up. The Exile website www.exileboats.com says they are the Casillas brothers. The Genesis www.genesisboats.com website now says the Casillas bros. will continue to be part of Genesis' future.
So who's got the scoop? Fill us in.

It looks like they bounced and started exile, but the message on the Genesis site sounds like they are comming back??? Exile is located at the location in Corona with Next custom boats.

That would have been cool. Did those bands rock out back in the day?

I know the story! I am one of the customers who got their boat stolen in the middle of the night by Joel. Less than 12 hours after I saw the boat (1 day after it came out of the mold) he shook my hand, looked me in the eyes and said it would be done in a week and a half. He swiped it that night. What an upstanding business man.
