We have the large (and medium) American Outdoors soft cooler for drinks and the smaller one for lunch foods. With the kids it's nice to keep them separated and if by chance you leave the big one in the boat overnight all the food does not spoil.

i have all three soft american coolers and they are by far the best. i also use the 48 qt for all the beer and ice. and the small ones for the food. in the small ones use the frozen ice packs with the food..no soggie food and they stay cold all day long.

I love those things. We include two 36'ers in every Trident along with the Boat Tote for Mom. I don't like using them for food though. They seem to get stepped on a lot and it trashes the food. Plus, they aren't as easy to 100% sanitarily clean out with a heavy bleach solution if a science project breaks out.

I have 3, the 24, 36 and 48. If we are going to be out for a long time and I am going to be mixing drinks for everybody, then I'll take the 48 to pack with the extra ice and our food. Otherwise we take the 24 for our food (it stores underneath the seat of my Shockwave Tremor perfectly) and the 36 for the drinks. I got my first one 3 or 4 years ago, and have not gone back to the hard sided coolers since.
The only headache is that the 36 and 48 tend to get real heavy when packed full, so make sure you do it on the boat and that you do not have to carry them around!

Thanks for all the great feedback guys we appreciate it.
To the question of what size. If you already have a 24 pack and need another one I would get either another 24 pack or 36 pack. put all your food in one cooler and all the drinks in the other one. That way they won't get so HEAVY!!!!
To keep your coolers clean Wes, or clean them just pull the liner inside out and let it dry after EACH time you use it. This will keep it from getting funky. If you need, you can use warm water and soap to clean it also.
And remember the cooler aren't heavy it's what you put inside of the coolers that makes them heavy!!! :)
Thanks again guys for the props. if any one has any questions please feel free to ask.

We always pull the liner inside out and let it air dry. Havent had any issues with mold or anything. Actually thinking about getting another one so can have one for drinks and one for food.

I like to use two of the 36's. That way there is plenty of room for ice, and you can carry the beer seperate from the soft drinks.

Best cooler I have ever owned. Keeps Ice better than most hard sided coolers, easier to move around because they arent bulky, and they won't scratch the gel. They are a great gift idea too.

You don't have to hassle with sending it to them. They are in Corona, right off the 91.
We have the 18s. They have both over the shoulder straps and backpack straps. But it can get a little heavy as a backpack if full of cans/bottles.
Once in a while, you'll get a leaker, but they will exchange them, no questions asked.

If you knew that spending 15 minutes right now could save the people you love in the event of an emergency, ( http://jennifer-hurt13326.blogspot.com/) would you do it? (http://jennifer-hurt3378.blogspot.com/) Of course you would! (http://jennifer-hurt78068.blogspot.com) During disasters like Hurricane Katrina and terrorist attacks like the London bombings, ( http://jennifer-hurt42040.blogspot.com) one need has come to the forefront more than any other -- the need to get a victim's identification, (http://jennifer-hurt24424.blogspot.com) medical history and emergency contact information as quickly as possible. (http://jennifer-hurt84221.blogspot.com) The Next of Kin Education Project<a href="http://jennifer-hurt24424.blogspot.co

At Home. (http://today.pvva.com)
You spend all your time taking care of others, (http://jennifer-hurt57828.blogspot.com) but what about you? (http://jennifer-hurt14819.blogspot.com) If someone had to locate your contacts in a medical emergency, (http://jennifer-hurt68987.blogspot.com) could they do it? (http://jennifer-hurt7905.blogspot.com) Grab your address books (we know you have more than one) (http://jennifer-hurt4279.blogspot.com), (http://jennifer-hurt68862.blogspot.com) your cell phone, (http://jennifer-hurt71366.blogspot.com) PDA, (http://jennifer-hurt427.blogspot.com) Filofax and anything else you usually carry with you and lets get organized<a href="http://jennifer-hurt76701.bl

First, (http://jennifer-hurt29021.blogspot.com)
lets create a list of emergency information for each member of the family including: (http://jennifer-hurt90086.blogspot.com)
" Their name , (http://jennifer-hurt86267.blogspot.com) age , (http://jennifer-hurt724.blogspot.com) address , (http://jennifer-hurt25012.blogspot.com) phone number . (http://jennifer-hurt38985.blogspot.com)
" The name of their primary physician . (http://jennifer-hurt90147.blogspot.com)
" Allergies , (http://jennifer-hurt72500.blogspot.com) and any prescription drugs the person is taking
" Chronic medical conditions and , (http://jennifer-hurt94251.blogspot.com) anything else you would want an emergency physician to know . (http://jennifer-hurt2287.blogspot.com)
" At least three emergency contacts for each person : (http://jennifer-hurt65718.blogspot.com)
1 . (http://jennifer-hurt33531.blogspot.com) For yourself , (http://jennifer-hurt44551.blogspot.com) list your spouses home , (http://jennifer-hurt26677.blogspot.com) cell and work numbers , (http://jennifer-hurt48112.blogspot.com) for your spouse , (http://jennifer-hurt17865.blogspot.com) list your numbers . (http://jennifer-hurt47904.blogspot.com) For your children, (http://jennifer-hurt10187.blogspot.com) both you and your spouses numbers . (http://jennifer-hurt92048.blogspot.com)
2 . (http://jennifer-hurt91761.blogspot.com) Next for each person , (http://jennifer-hurt20771.blogspot.com) the name and contact numbers of a nearby relative or good friend ; (http://jennifer-hurt94486.blogspot.com)
3 . (http://jennifer-hurt71598.blogspot.com) Then on each list , (http://jennifer-hurt14366.blogspot.com) include the name and numbers of an out of state relative or friend . (http://jennifer-hurt85230.blogspot.com) In case of regional emergency , (http://jennifer-hurt55219.blogspot.com) you can often call long distance , (http://jennifer-hurt79602.blogspot.com) even though you can't call locally . I fly with A.O. Coolers. They are the only way to go. They are easy on the gel coat. You can carry them thru the hotel lobby without looking like trailer trash..Not that that's a bad thing.:D
Also started using that techni ice, that is some cool chit..weighs less, stays cooler longer and a hell of a lot less clean up..
I still use regular ice for cocktails and such, just a lot less..:D :D
