So you gonna cross this one when they finish it. I'm sure you don't mind being a good 400+ feet above the ground....You'll be fine if you fall, there's water down thar ;) :p

Is that for real? Are they building a bridge there?

Yes they are. Driven past it a few times in the last year or so and it looks like some pretty heavy duty work going on. Fortunately for HER 454 there should be four lanes so she won't have to back up. She will though have to keep her eyes open. :)

I think it's gonna be an awesome view from that bridge when done...Pretty amazing to watch these guys swing stuff around hanging over the edges of the canyon walls. Another one of man's accomplishments over nature.
.
In Southwest Germany I drove accross some bridge that spanned a gorge that was miles wide. Not tremendously high but they built it without destroying the surrounding landscape like we tend to do here in the States.
.
I have a feeling Traci, you'd not bode well in the Florida Keys if you had to drive much ...:D

It's a little known fact, but most bridges have rattlesnakes hanging out by the curbs. They jump on to the underside of your car when you pass by and have been known to work their way through the car floor by the throttle pedal and slowly crawl up your leg inside your pants or under your skirt. Those people listening to country music won't usually notice until they reach about the mid thy level because of the honky tonk stomping going on with the other leg. Just a public service announcement for your saftey when crossing bridges.

ROTFLMAO, thanks for the heads up Mike, but not to worry as I make sure I lift my feet when I see one in the road, and Im careful not to screw up my makeup while doing it as Im usually putting that on when I drive too. That and listening to the honky tonk.
