Very beautiful country and if you have not visited previously, you'll have a great time.
Most places are safe with food and water, and in my opinion this is the perfect season to visit.

I just built a house down there in Playa Potrero in the Guanacaste region on the Pacific side. Awesome area, especially if you're into surfing. It's right by Witches and a couple other secret areas.
Let me know where you went. I'm curious to see how it was down there.
