Funny how it takes like a month or more for DNA results for the normal Tom Dick Harry (don't get all excited BR's) crime but a high profile famous deal like this all of a sudden it's possible within hours.

What sucks is the country he was in surrendered all legal rights (so that he could be tried here for the murder) which also means he can't be PUT BACK into the prison back over there. Basically he just got out of jail, and a free plane ride back to the states with no repercussions.

It was obvious from the beginning that the guy was not guilty. His story didn't jive, his ex-wife said he wasn't in Colorado, they'd looked at the guy years ago & dismissed him as nut who was not involved. In Thailand he told the same stories he'd been telling here & they immediately put him on live TV. The American media got hold of the story and even though they all knew of the history of this guy they ran with it 24/7 just to pump up ratings, just like the Natalee Holloway story. A real low point in American TV journalism - boy that's an oxymoron.

Sonoma County has a hold on him for 5 ct.'s Misd. Poss. Child Porn.
That warrant has been out for awhile. They will extradite, I am sure. Even tho the charges are misdemeanors, theoretically, there is a felony charge on the books for fleeing the jurisdicton they could stick him with as well.
A conviction for violating the Misd. Kiddie Porn charges, is, I believe a free ticket into the "Megans Law" Database, and, since they have his DNA, and I am led to believe he gave it voluntarily, it will now go into the system for comparison with all the unsolved cold-cases out there that didn't have the notariety that this one did. Sadly, there are thousands of them.
It will also be out there for the future, as will his 290 P.C. sex-offender registration info, a program which was tailor-made for this guy. He is a Pedophile-predator of the worst kind.
Ending his existence would be my first/best choice, but this is better than nothing.

I had bets on this result here at work.. and I cashed in :) ...I figgered he was doodling little Thai kids, and I thought he figured he'd get away scot-free from Thai justice by spouting all the "I did JonBenet" crap and flying outta their Country ASAP..first class, no less!
As for Sonoma County, he possessed kiddie porn, which won't make him do much more jail time that he already has for that incident. But when he's convicted it will make him have to register as a sex offender.. in the US, anyway.. which I am guessing he'll leave again as soon as he can to become a teacher somewhere else.
The sad part here is the "All JonBenet, all the time" crap the media fed us the past few weeks. They bought the BS story hook, line and sinker, and force fed the public their grabage every day. To keep myself from going to prison in that place I would say that I killed Kennedy. This was the first thing I thought of when I heard this story.. Do what ever you have to do to get out of there...
