Too bad you aren't in PHX....
Quick question, I have about 1500 sq ft of tile in my house now and I hate the size and pattern. I want to rip it out and replace it with 20" tile and replace another 600 sq ft of carpet from 2 rooms as well with tile. So 2100 sq ft of tile total to go in.
To remove the tile, is my house going to be destroyed in the process of removing it and getting it preped for new tile? I just have this image of dust coming out of my ass for 10 years.

You need to plastic every thing. Drape plastic from the ceiling to the floor on al the walls. Dont run your air conditioner while doing it because it gets in the filters. You can put fans facing out of the house which will draw some of the dust outside. Also, just count on hiring a cleaning crew in the end to detail the house. Typically its cost $800 to a $1000 for a good cleaning crew but well worth it if you budget it in. This is the over kill route.

If you wait about 6 months i might be able to waterproof the shower(if you decide to do that also). As of now it looks like an 80 percent chance we are makin the move to phx.If we do i plan on doing waterproofing if i can get enough work there.
