Makes me think twice about somethings even though it is so very rare.

Watched that on the news last night. Very tough to watch. Odd thing is that about 5 years ago two kids died from the same thing. They apparently contracted it from the local water company; from wells about 8 miles south of Pleasant. I had never heard of this before I moved here. Makes you wonder a little about the coincidence factor.

I stopped going to my local lakes just because of the "scuzz factor." Pyramid, Castaic, their waters are both so green...
Now lately I have been coming home from Mojave/River/Sandbar/Havasu with ear infections and sinus infections. I wanted to chock it up to old age, but I am beginning to think with the crowds of people abusing these waterways every weekend, I am sure the bacteria level has gone up 10-fold in the last 5 years! :yuk:

Ya, the Cali lakes can get nasty but the AZ lakes are pretty clean. The Amoeba thing is not connected to dirty water from what I understand.
