I found this on an old Poker Run lineup site. It looks like Nasville Catz is listed as being owned by: Gibson, Bruce and Myra Old Hickory TN Nor-Tech 43 The Nashville Catz
I have to add to the confusion but maybe this will add some clarity.

Why would you even post something like this if all you have heard is hear say from someone else!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There was an accident and I havent even heard that the Gibons Ron & Julie were involved just a Nortech and a Eliminator at this time.
I hope to god your wrong!!! Those are good people and a great family.
Makes me sick that you would even post something like this about anybody when there are other peoples families and friends involved.
My prayers go out to everyone involved.

I just spoke to Eddie, the mechanic/crew chief for Bruce and Myra Gibson, A 43 Nortech called Nashville Catz. There was a terrible, terrible, accident involving them and Flash Gordon, an Eliminator. Unfortunately I was told there are many tragedies on the Flash Gordon boat, as well as Mrs. Gibson is in bad shape. This all I know to this point. Prayers go out to all involved, I'm so sorry, GOD BLESS. Jeff

its a shame that this happends. That reporter needs to do some background work b4 she starts reporting. In the video you can see that the boat was almost cut in half right at the cockpit.
I also have to say that poker runs are in real danger of no longger happening.
They are like a powder keg just waiting to blow. 2 bad crashs this year alone. Don't be surprized if the whole cat community takes a hit. INS rates will be going up and don't be shocked if you get a letter from then saying that you will not be covered if you are in a poker run.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Just a quick post to keep everyone up to date. I just left the hospital where Bruce is in ICU. He just got out of surgery to put a tube in each lung to drain them and help them inflate. Both lungs collapsed, probably due to the numerous broken ribs puncturing them. His is able to breathe on his own at this point with the help of oxygen. Hopefully they will not have to put him on a vent. His head and face are beat up pretty bad. He suffered numerous bad cuts, lacerations, and broken bones. We are still waiting for the results of the cat scan of his head, but at this point it looks pretty good. He was heavily sedated but was able to talk to me and ask and answer questions. He is very concerned about the well being of everyone involved. He does not really know what happened. He is going to need a lot of time and even more support to recover. Please pray for a complete and speedy recovery from both the accident and for the loss of his wife, friends and fellow boaters. Bruce is the only surviver and has got a very long road to recovery.
I was not at the scene but the general concensus is that something failed on Flash Gordons boat, causing it to make a sharp left turn, directly into the path of the oncoming boat of Bruce and Myra Gibson(The Nashville Catz). It appears that it was an unavoidable and tragic ACCIDENT. Once again, I was not at the scene.
We will stay here as long as it takes. If anyone needs us, we can be reached at 504-416-3607 or youngperformance@comcast.net. Please only call if nessesary. Thank you all for your support and prayers, they will need every bit of it. Eddie

i saw this post when it first started and i have to say i hate hearing about things like this like everyone else. it is really depressing. i hope for the best for everyone. i have learned alot about boating since i have been coming on these forums. and have been thankful. i learned how fun boating can be and how quick and bad things can happen. i was not aware of all the things that can happen and i respect it and safety much more now. please everyone be safe and responsible and i hope the best for everyone and their familys who enjoy boating as a hobby and pastime as i do. everyone be safe and goodluck to the survivors and the family.

We all need to remember that our hobbies and "loves" carry with them danger and potential tragedy. Safety first and even then accidents happen.
These folks were doing what they loved and tragedy struck. Bless them all.
The stupidity of the media shows through as always and I'm sure the boating industry will be microanalyzed by the "all knowing" armchair experts who will dare claim fast boats as extravagant examples of speed that should be banned.
My heartfelt thoughts go out to the families. God's speed.:(

I've been sitting here and thinking about this all morning to the point of having a knot in my stomach. :( I heard about it in Parker this weekend and was hoping it was just false rumours, and over exagerated river tales.
My condolensces go out to all. :( From what I understand the Nashville Catz owners and crew are all first rate people. I've never met them personally but am friends of people that have dealt with them on various occasions.
Words can not describe how bad I feel for all involved, especially Mr. Gibson. I cannot imagine starting to recover from the injuries only to be told the final outcome of the incident. Brings tears to my eyes just thinking about it.
If anyone knows where to send flowers please let me know. I'd like to send some.

WOW...that web site really says it all and hits pretty hard. She seems like an amazing person. I think that anyone who was fortunate enough to know her should feel blessed that they had a friend like that.

All I can say is wow. I am sitting here speachless. I just finished reading through all of this and watching the new clips, and reading mrsmyramission.org. This lady sounded like an amazing lady who would make the room glow with her presence. Just reading and never meeting her, I feel like I have been touched. This is a very sad tragedy, and my thoughts and prayers go out to all involved. I hope that one day bruce and his family can enjoy again what they loved to do so much. I can't imagine the heartache that these 2 families are going through. Not really knowing what happened. very very sad...... godspeed
