Definitley bling! :crossx: Anything she can show off to her girlfriends is the bomb for women. Also you have to do something romantic. Maybe a cozy little dinner somewhere with candlelight. Maybe some little romantic weekend getaway somewhere that you know she'll love. Bring her to the spot where you guys met (uh, hopefully not a bar.. :crossx: ) Ok, I could go on and on. When we were married, we bought a house instead of having a honeymoon. For our first few anniversaries there was always something coming up around the same time with the house or vehicle repairs or whatever else that took all our fun money. After that we just stopped trying to do anything big and just went to dinner for our anniversaries.
It's pathetic, I know.
So now, to make up for all that crap, for our 10 year we did a weekend at a B&B in Big Bear, we had a custom diamond ring made for her, and for the icing on the cake I'm taking her to Australia for three weeks. It's been long over due and I had a lot of catching up to do. :)
Of course, now I'm screwed for what to do next year.

I got one better... a friend of mine (45) gets his wife (26) a new BMW or Mercedes almost every year. She doesn't work so her "hobby" is blowing all the money she can on their race horses. She also has her Hummer to drive and 4 limos to escort her around... 2 super stretches, an Excursion, and a white Hummer. She lays out by the pool all day while he works and takes care of their son... running him back and forth to school etc and so on. She sits around and reads Cosmo and Redbook and all the gossip articles and drinks wine all day. They are constantly going on trips to Hawaii or Cabo and staying at the finest resorts. What do you get someone like that? I tell him to get her a one way plane ticket out of town...
BTW, she will swear up and down it's not about the money... lol... :D

Diamond earings! One caret, on the left, one on the right! Miguel, you and I look at a prop or a pair of cylinder heads as "needed equipment", just like "diamond earings" are to the one who "keeps us going", every day. In a perfect world things are equal, in our world "you do what you are able to do". You can say "the words" or you can just go out and "do what you know she likes". Think of them as 'lab finished matching props'. "No matter how bad you have been, diamonds will get you back up to the front of the line!"

I dont get it,
WHY DO MEN ALWAYS HAVE TO SHOW THEIR LOVE WITH EXPENSIVE GIFTS
Buy her a card and call it a day...
If she loves you she will appreciate that just as much as a 20K diamond
...because not everyone has a huge cock.

May I suggest NOT. That for a gift SUCKS literally. That's what my hubby got me for my 40th. Thoughtless and insensitive? Yes, He caught ca-ca for it and wow for 41 we had helicopter ride to Catalina Island, gorgeous hotel views & romantic meals the entire weekend all planned out and arranged by him. Very nice and no kids (we have 4) all was forgiven but don't tell him I still have some good mileage left on that one. Oh please, don't remind me of the hurt. Boo Hoo I'm thinking ...hmmm a diamond necklace might make me feel better?

Just a temporary lapse of good judgement on his part he's generally very thoughtful and generous. Just last weekend he surprised me by having a front patio overlooking the lake poured and had a block retaining wall finished up that I started and got about 3 bricks into it at 122 degrees before almost keeling over. He did this all on the sly. Sooo... we drive up to our new Havasu house for Labor Day weekend and TA-DA! So really he ROCKS!!!!! :p

For our tenth we bought anniversary bands with ten diamonds in them. She wears it on her right hand and she absolutely loves that ring. I think that's the gift that she talks about and shows off more than any other anniversary gift I've ever gotten her.

Book her a room in Vegas for one. Have her get a two day pass to the Red Rooster(google it) and toss her another 500.00 for gambling , dining and condoms. ..................and clean that damn house while shes away.

SORRY DISAGREE,
I got the wife that one year and she was on cloud nine, Said it was one of the best gifts I have every given her and she has gotten alot of nice shit....
So the next year I got her a Carpet Shampooer and again she went nuts and still uses it today with love ....
LETS NOT FORGET, it is THEIR
anniversary, not just hers

WOW... Lets see??..?? You were pissed for one year because you didn't get what YOU wanted? But it's better now because you got to go to Catalina via private helo.?? Don't know you, haven't met you, maybe your a wonderful person, BUT that does seem a little shallow and self centered. My wife has always been happy with the gifts I given her, and trust me there have been some "Cheezey" gifts. Remember.??? It's the thought that counts.. This statement is very true.
