I plan on putting a pool in during the winter, does anyone have any good contractors or know of any bad contractors I need to stay away from. I also hear that salt water pools are the thing to do?????

That's why we didn't buy a house with one. Too much maintenance for not being there. The lake is our pool during the summer and during the winter it is too cold. Now a soak and poke is a different story.

I have spent a lot of time researching pools out here (meeting with builders, looking at their pools, and talking to the pool owners), and we narrowed our list down to three builders:
Advantage Pools
Sandcastle Pools
Code Blue Pools
I know there are a lot of other builders out here, but after talking to a lot of folks, we narrowed it down to these three, and then the final decision was...............Bobby at Advantage Pools

We did the same and ended up with Mohave...Kenny (Trimman) can also vouch for them.....

Absolutely, positively go with Mojave County pools. The best customer service and timely install. also don't let the pool contractor sell you their version of a salt water system. Check the resilience system, the local Heliocoil solar installer sells them and we love ours.

Its not really a salt water pool, they use salt to produce the chlorine. Still a fresh water pool.

Ideal pools. Family operation, more steel than required, best gunite job ever. Mohave jerked me around on one of my specs.

I Had a great experience with SandCastle and Phebus has seen it. Advantage must have been cheaper for Rick not to choose SandCastle :hammerhea :D

Look at 3M quartz plaster too. Very smooth and great for volleyball games in pool, etc. pebble Tec will make your feet raw if u plan on a 5' center deep play pool. Most of the plaster jobs in town are subed to Big Blasters, they did mine a it worked out fine. When u get close to a deal PM me and i'll show you the quartz plaster. Also look at Jandy pannel system, all digital, works great and u can even control your bubblers, night lights, etc from the same flat panel controler.
