Here is the latest creation from Lee, Stan and the boys at Schiada. They are still dialing it in as it is under propped. This is an enormous open bow powered by twin Pfaff 850's. 1.26 gearing with 30 pitch props. acceleration is scarry fast, Lee says 40 mph to 90 mph in 2 to 3 seconds. The fastest they have taken it is 110 mph with more roomm to go. Pretty good for an open bow. :crossx:

I love schiada boats and always have....but isn't "open bow", and "offshore" in the same sentence an oxy moron?
BTW the boat looks great!

I would probably go for the closed bow myself. As always a beautiful boat.

Normally yes, this is why i went with a closed bow. but, this hull can handle anything, even with an open bow. most of these boats see more of the big lakes than lake pacific. although, this past summer i took mine out into the ocean on 4 trips.

Very true! More of a performance pleasure craft. I love getting into rough waters in mine, and wouldn't ever give up the closed bow. I wouldn't be comfy in the ocean with an open bow.....but just a personal preference. I also don't like more that 5 or 6 people on the boat at any giventime either....so to each their own. Boat is awesome looking though!

the cockpits are so big on these boats, i have had 9 people onboard on more than one occassion and only 2 where standing.
