Pontoon Boat

I have a buddie that is looking for a Pontoon boat. I do not know a thing about them. What are your recomendations...Outboard v. IO, brands, etc.
He is looking for a good all around cruiser.

I would stick to a tri-toon. I just recently purchased a Bennington with an 5.0 Merc i/o. See link below to something similar. I bought one after having my first ride in one a few weeks back in Havasu. It was nice ramming that thing up on the beach without unloading the coolers, chairs and everything else. You just turn the music on and let the party begain..I never thought in my life I would ever get a pontoon boat, and I never regret doing it.. Tell your friend good luck..
