Go Pads Go... :) Dodgers VS Padres would be a pretty cool NLCS. Hope the Dodgers can make it out of New York, I know the Padres will be just fine. I love the playoffs!!!

I just got home from that game. Has any team ever gotten back to back homers off of Trevor Hoffman? Once he's on the mound it usually means game over, especially if you're the Diamondbacks, but Chad Tracy and Kojak took him to the yard twice in a row. I thought it was a good game, but I was SO PISSED that the ump reversed his call and called Callaspo out at 2nd after he'd been called safe there, thus ending the inning, the game and the whole damn season on A REVERSED CALL!!! That just shouldn't be done.
The D-Backs get screwed by umps a lot. I was at two different games this year where umps actually changed decisions and TOOK POINTS OFF THE SCOREBOARD! Two different games. I don't think the D-Backs get any calls from umps, especially when it comes to our younger players like Callaspo.
Maybe we need a more explosive manager.
Anyways, congrats you Friars Fans, I see you beating St. Lewis in short order.
P.S. I hate Dave Roberts, can we have him?

What???
Some liberal dirt diggin', commune livin' homo from New York, gets a welfare check (aka a grant) to move to the desert to study the natives and now you think you're a D'Back fan!?! Until the next welfare check moves you somewhere else I guess.
Don't try to blend in here. You don't belong to this tribe and never will. Go away, before someone takes your paddle away...

Ever hear of a Communist named Fidel Castro, from an island called Cuba? How about another not so American kinda guy named Hugo Chavez? He's not exactly Communist, but his country is pretty close to a socialist republic. China?
What do all these things have in common? They’re all Communist/Fascist governments WHICH ARE HUGE FANS OF BASEBALL, AND ARE HOME TO MANY INCREDIBLE PLAYERS!!!
The D-Backs had 2 Cubans on the roster this year, and COMMUNIST Cuba made it to the last round of the World Baseball Classic last Spring and lost to Japan, NOT AMERICA, and many people are predicting that COMMUNIST China will soon be a major breeding ground for MLB prospects. Your argument that Communists can't LOVE Baseball is as empty as your head!
Next time you visit the Ballpark, take a look around the field, the bullpen and the stands. Major League Baseball may have started out American, but it is now Global, and is enjoyed by Capitalists, Democrats, Communists, and Fascists...HELL EVERYBODY LOVES IT!!!
I've been a D-Back fan since before I moved here. Ever since they took down the Yankees I've loved them almost as much as my Mets! Don't even think you're more of a baseball fan than I am, just because we have different political philosophies!

This is the 2nd time in 2 weeks that Hoffman has given up back to back HR's....Martin and Anderson were #'s 3 and 4 when the DODGERS hit 4 HR's in a row on the 18th vs the Pads....The 1st 2 pitchs that Hoffman threw went over the fence :) :)

That was a bullshit call to end the game... D-back's probably would have lost anyway... but at least let it be on a legitimate call...
Still... the Dodgers didn't win the division... so that's good... :D

Was a weird ending alright........in the middle of the season no big deal but the final out of the final game where it determines a pennant........should have been more clear cut.....Ump goofed his first call IMO and corrected it properly.

Padres ain't going anywhere if Bochy pitches to Pujols with 2 out, 2 on, and first base open like he did Wed nite. I'd walk Pujols in every crunch situation. :p
Also, "homelessinaz", if you are a baseball fan like you say, try getting your terminology straight. 'TOOK POINTS OFF THE SCOREBOARD!' It's RUNS, ain't no p[oints in baseball, they're called RUNS. Oh yeah and it's St. Louis.

Thank you for you trenchant baseball analysis, Old Texan. Yes, these are major issues. I have always used the terms "points" and "runs" interchangably. This has obviously distorted my entire understanding of the game. I now know only one thing, and that is that I KNOW NOTHING about this game that I thought I loved.
Dammit.
I am going to go burn all my shirts and jerseys and hats and throw out all my DVDs and VHS tapes of games I thought I loved, and unsubscribe from all the baseball chatrooms I am a member of, and while I am at it, I think I'll quit my softball team too. I am a failure. I might as well move to St. Lewis, OH! DAMMIT, there's another MAJOR FLAW WITH ME!!! Occasionally I use the incorrect spelling of a word! I must be a dunce as well as an insincere baseball fan!!!

Having fun trying to fit in, eh. Using your arrogance to hide the insecure bore you really are Tinkerbell? You got no game. Don't drop your paddle, one of your "mates" might try to steal home. :crossx:
