It looks like Kobe has bulked up. It should be good, the nucleus of their team now has a year under their belt. Hopefully they can pick up where they left off last season. :)

Good point. But who knows, even if Kobe is not in shape, that still means he is in about as good of shape as most NBA players. Since he trains like a freaking animal. I am really interested in seeing how Lamar acts, he could play harder for his son, or it could really effect him, who really knows...
I am with you...lets get this started, oh yeah, with Radmanovic! :)

Don't forget that Kobe's game is all about being explosive. Knee injuries have a way of slowing your roll. Maybe he did bulk up top side because he coludn't run, etc? Just a thought.
He actually bulks up every year. He is close with Magette and they hit the gym alot, Magette just shows it more.
If you think an off season injury to Kobe is going to stop him, let the games begin! lol. :)

Bryant and Jackson had some well-publicized differences in Jackson’s first five years as coach of the Lakers, but after taking a year off, the two appeared to get along very well last season.
“He and I have become extremely close,” Bryant said. “He’s really my mentor. I’ve learned everything, basically, from him.”

Vegas seems like it would be a good home, since the Maloofs own all the damn casinos already. lol.

Yeah, that'll be weird. Can't wait for the start. I'm thinking Dilligaf's right about the slow start, however. Injuries and LO's tough emotional issues have to get worked out. Heard Bynum put on like 21 or 23 pounds of bulk muscle over the summer. Kobe sounds more mature in interviews, and so does LO. Looking forward to another big step up this year. :rollside:

Just bumping this up, this thread here is going to be the proof to my prediction at the end of the season.
BTW: DLAF Kobe is really out of shape. :D

wonder if this will effect them?
HOUSTON -- Los Angeles Lakers forward Lamar Odom sprained his right knee in the first quarter of Tuesday's game against the Houston Rockets and coach Phil Jackson said he might be out for more than a month.

it will bring a different line up and might cause a minor size matchup problem for some teams but our bench is so deep we should be ok...its not like football when you have one crappy QB like a Jake Plummer :supp: for example your entire team sucks:mix: :hammerhea

It certainly did not effect them last night, they stormed past Houston on the road without him.
The thing is they are deep now. It just means Vlad Rad and Cookie will have to step it up, which they did.
