The seven people who got trapped in a border tunnel in San Diego while apparently trying to cross from Mexico
into the United States have all been rescued.
Fire dispatchers say it took about 90 minutes from the time they were notified for firefighters to free them and that none required immediate medical care.
San Diego fire dispatcher Candice Cook says the rescuers had been sent to the scene shortly after 7:00 a.m. to free the suspected border crossers.
Precisely where the people had been trapped wasn't immediately known, but officials say firefighters from Tijuana and San Diego worked at both ends of the tunnel to free them.
