There will come a day when law enforcement will not be able to protect the average homeowner and their property.
I think that day is here

I was parked at work one day down in Gardena. Went out to my van to go home and the first thing I noticed when I opened the door was the dome light didn't go on. Hmmmmm.... Started thinking.... got into the driver's seat, put in the key.... hmmmmmmm..... dead battery?.... Nope... NO battery... Fuggin a-holes had stolen my battery.... Jumped in a car, drove down to the parts store, scored a new battery, opened the driver's door.... hmmmm.... still no dome light. Put in the key... still no crank.... OH CHRIST... looked under my van... bastards took my starter motor too! Cut the wires and took the mounting bolts also... OH man was I pissed! Had to make a trip to TWO parts stores to get everything I needed to drive home... Grrrrr... Then one night on the Sunset strip I parked in a back lot and some jerk broke out the passenger side window of my car to steal a Mag light... The mag light was 15.00... the broken window was 150.00.... grrrrr.....

YOU GOTTA DO THIS. If you have an electric fuel pump on your car, most do theese days. Put a toggle switch on. Everytime you get out of your car hit the switch that way there is no fuel to the engine. Costs about $1.75. and you will save yourself alot of trouble and you don't have to walk but a 100 yards to get your car back. When you install the switch don't tell anybody were it is not even you wife. :)

One of the reasons I moved from So. Cal to Utah. They only want to steel your soul here.
Oh, and collect their 10%. Luckly I'm not one of them.

Years back had a neighborhood punk get in my unlocked car in my driveway in the middle of the night ransacking it. I became aware something was up when I heard my Pit/Chow mix barking. Ol' Odie had the little bastard trapped up on the hood crying like a little girl....little punk pissed his pants. :crossx:

Jeff had one of the company trucks stolen last weekend with 10K worth of tools on it
And someone stole a $100K jackhammer from our property that a contractor was using for a county project.

At the storage place where I park my boat some broke into my boat, ummm let me rephrase that, someone went underneath my boat cover and stole my stereo. Lucky for me that he found my Tequila Gold and the beer in the cooler, because he got so ripped that he left behind my GPS and a bunch of tools that he had left right next to the empty Tequila bottle.

I feel sorry for the poor soul that comes into my house in the middle of the night. Like many of you, I have lots of guns and I'm not afraid to use them. My Glock .45 with 14 rounds in it is locked and loaded and ready to go. Not that ANYONE wants that to happen but if it does I'm prepared for it.
