Anyone fish the Sierras lately. We're heading up to June Lake loop for 5 days and haven't found any current fish reports.
Any info out there?

Have fun. You will find fish all over. Go fish the Walker river.

Sabrina and Secret lake always good.
The Alper trout are still the mark to catch.

We go up there in May and October. Great sites and some decent fishing usually. It seems like every time, it gets tougher to find recent fishing reports. Websites come and go and the fish reports get out dated.
Fish or no fish, it's always a good trip.
October has historically been less quantity of fish caught but a lot better (bigger) fish. Our group has pulled out a share in the 5-8 lb range.
If anyone else is going the 20-24, we'll see you at the Tiger Bar!

I was there a few weeks ago. Mammoth Lakes was the worst I have seen in almost 40 years of going to the Sierras fishing. With that said, the only fish I caught was a 29" Alpers, so life could have been worse. I usually fish the Twin Lakes and Robinson creek in Bridgeport with great success, even in the fall.
