Here's what we are looking at. They will be sold complete in silver or black powder coat and all mounting hardware. These are made to be skinned if someone wanted that option. I can't give a price here since it's not the SPAM even though I am not SPAMING them. Send me a PM for details.
These are for visual purposes only, the finished product will be done thursday.

Here's the difference between new and old.
http://www.***boat.com/image_center/data/500/1634101_1155.JPG
There's also a "Y" type harness bar. This is the proto so it's not powdercoated yet.
http://www.***boat.com/image_center/data/500/1634101_1159.JPG
And driving light brackets that mount in the holes in the core support. These will work with the factory bumper by removing the honeycomb. Just put these on, they need to be aimed yet.

I think it would be tough to get a foot through there. More than likely later on I will make some skins for them. Gonna call him tomorrow and put in my order. Need to figure out if I can get someone to deliver them out here for me. Or maybe Todd could hold onto them for me until I come out there.

It would be very difficult to get a foot through there. I knew I should have taken a picture when I was sitting in it. The other ones where more likely to let a foot out.
Yes, I can pick them up and hold them or if someone was going back that way that you could meet. Either way.

todd,
How strong is in on the bottom portion?
With 2 mounting spots you would think there might be some flex on the lower portion?
BTW....I think you did a great job designing/Helping make these. They look very nice and safe. Most of the other ones on the market were missing one of the two factors.

Good question! Actually they are very stout. The lower cross bar adds integrity to the fit. My other ones were much flimsier(sp). Also using grade 8 hardware basically makes it impossible to sheer.

Put a hinge on the front and make them real opening/latching doors. How about aluminum mesh welded on the inside of the lower two bars? Or with holes:

That is do-able however you will lose some structural strength. We already have the mesh idea covered, but it didn't look right.

No not legit. It's ebay scam. Every time you see pre approve bidders it's a scam with such a low price with no reserve = red flags.

Keep theses the way they are...Simple,safe and cost effective.
Someone already makes a door like that problem is when you start adding hinges, latches and a 2nd mounting point for the back they become less effective and more exspensive
There is a company that makes what you are talking about. It was probably my favorite new product at the sand show. They will cost you about $800.00 un finished/Raw.(They are actually really nice)

When it's dusty the light shines throught the dust and blinds you.(If your out front or by yourself the roof mounts are OK)

If you mount them as low as possible on the side bars over the dash you should be fine. I won't put them there because I feel like they would block my view a tad.
I will probably just weld some tabs to my bumper and buy some 50w halogen lights.

The only reason I don't want them on the bumpr is cause I feel they may be too low and not give me the light needed. Plus the headlights are down there. Maybe I'm wrong though. I kinda like where Toby had his.

Is your Rhino up in Vegas, or down here? If you need a nice garage to work in, and a well stocked tool box to work out of, just let me know.

That would be cool. As soon as I get the leg protectors I'm gonna figure out if I need padding and I might start working on making the panels.

Just wanted to say THANK YOU to all that ordered last week. You'll love them.
My was on display Saturday at the rods & relics show and the response for them was amazing. I believe Randy had 6-8 orders alone. The harness bar and extended upper bar were also big hits. Web site and brochures will be coming soon.

Bolts right in. You need to use a 3 or 4 panel wink mirror. I doesn't need to be billit.

I'm getting my list together of stuff to make my Rhino street legal and I'm stuck on mirrors and windshield right now. I like those billett mirrors but I'm looking for one thats powdercoated/anodized black. Trying to keep the bling to a minimum. Does the half windshield qualify to the street legal standings out there?

Street legal items: mirror, horn, windshield ( half is fine ) license plate light front & rear lights and insurance.
I'm sure a black powdercoat mirror and brackets can be done.

I found a nice 3 panel billett that was black once but didn't save the link and I can't remember for the life of me where it was. Whered you get the license plate light/bracket?

R&R my friend. Did you do a rear bumper? You can always mount it to the lower bed by drilling a couple holes and running a $5.00 light from autozone.

No rear bumper. I figured I could just make one up. I wanna get this stuff done soon so I can get it registered. Gotta call and get insurance this week so I at least have that.

Well so far so good. Got the new roll cage on, leg minders, wheels & tires installed. Really looks good. R&R are great people to work with! I still have the horn kit to do and install the rear bumper.
Then I have to wait for the rest of my parts to come in. Can't wait so see how this all works! Should be fun.
