Virgin paint waxing...not boat related

quick question, just painted the Camaro with Du Pont hot hues, let it dry for 90 days and now Im ready to wax it. It has been color sanded and polished... Ive used Maquires, Mothers, New Finish, Zymol etc etc etc with good luck but have never had the opportunity to wax a NICE virgin paint job before, whats good for fresh paint?????

There this was call Zano iand it is the most amazing wax ever. When I use it on my black suburban it doesnt give it the spider web look. Very deep color.

New paint for the first few years should need a polish (correct) after that just waxing is fine. :)

Dri wash & gaurd is a polish The base resin for paint(urethane) loves to breath.(read outgas) Waxing will close in the pores and you will have to wax continually to maintain the shine. Polish removes oxidation and returns the finish to its original gloss. I paint cars for a living(30 years) and never ever wax. Polish only. If a clear coat has been applied properly, you should never have to polish for years. Paint on my Bonneville is 7 years old.Never touched and looks like new. Over washing a car will lead to hazing of the topcoat.Then you have to polish. Never ever paint with acrylic enamel. Pollution will destroy the finish very quickly.Urethane only!

We have tested Dri Wash on a vehicle's surface for over 15 years. The first vehilce to ever have it was a 1990 Acura Legend. After 10+ years of ONLY applying the product, the paint was in perfect condition with no signs of oxidation whatsoever. I say 10 years because we sold the vehicle after 10 years. The technology in the product has only gotten better in the past few years.
Even with the newer VOC paint guidelines, it works great on those since the paints changed around the year 2000 with all the VOC regulations.
It has the same effect on boats. A 1996 Sea Ray that sits in the slat water year round in Florida, only has Dri Wash applied to it, nothing more since new and it is in great condition as well (gel coat).
Dri Wash has properties like polish and even more, but it is everything and the only thing that I believe is needed to properly take care of a vehicle in terms of paint protection (polymer sealant technology) and cleaning/detailing. This is even more true if done since new as well.

Sounds like a good product. Probably oil based polymer protection. Polishing based products work much better than carnuba based "wax". The changes in VOC ratings, just made the products better.(higher solids).
