Ouch...small motor for that boat, but hey its a bad ass boat...I miss mine!!!....what type of speeds are you seeing 60mph???
You can always hook up a raylar kit or do some work and drop on a procharger or whipple.

Welcome, nice looking boat.
But I have to ask you why is your 30’ boat on a tandem axel trailer?
My damn trailer isnt done yet so this is kachinas loaner...yes i know ugly as F$%k! I didnt know it took 6 weeks to build a trailer!!! Off the subject i went to the lake this past weekend and it was a lake day so i decided ok i will just stay the night on the boat and get up and get drunk all over again...when i FINALLY found a place to anchor down 10 spots later; i thought i was good because i wasnt drifting after 3 hrs, so after i passed out and woke up an hour later to rocks hitting the bottom, my damn battaries were complety dead... yes both!! So after calling security at the marina and them telling me 125.00 to jump me (f@#ckers) i decided against that and lucked out a when a guy was fishing on the shore and had cables and a couple fishermen stopped for me! finally got it going but the rest of the day sucked every 20 min the damns thing would die because of running the stereo...I made it thru the day but now i dont know if i should just buy a couple optimas or just try and re-charge both of them. SO needless to say im already getting annoyed with this ****ing Kachina. WELL thanks for listening to my Kachina rant.

Hey K-Kid. Buy one of these box anchors. This should stop you from drifting.

On that truck I'd put the Air Lift Smart Air system on the rear...it's an air bag system that automatically keeps the truck level at all times. Noticed the truck saggin' with that huge boat on it.
The Smart Air system is expensive but well worth it. I have it on my truck and it makes the truck handle a LOT better while under load like that.
Or you could just have air bags installed and air them up yourself if you can't afford the actual auto level system.
BTW...that looks like a red version of the Bat Boat LOL. Very nice BTW.

Hey Bro welcome to the boards!!
And about the batts, you should have two batts and under the rear seat on the right side is a perco switch (unless theyve changed it) for batt1,batt2 and both and off so when youre out like that isolate one or the other, Im on my second Kachina and Ive blown em up and broke em all different ways  but I dont think Ive ever had a batt die on me!
well good luck and welcome to the asylum!!

Drop in three optima’s and that should do ya.
I have two and that does me just fine - for now. When I upgrade the stereo, I will put two more in -two on each side.
Right now, the old manual Perko takes care of things.
I'll be adding one of these soon, so I don't even have to think about it.
http://a1672.g.akamai.net/7/1672/116/20061101/www.ritzcamera.com/graphics/products/1-95/196830095.jpg
13.2 Volts = batteries connected togeter (will be three for stereo, one for starter). Less than 13.2, three will be on their own with the stereo. If they run down to nothing, starter battery remains fully charged.
No remembering to switch back and forth (impossible when passed-out).

No, if I really do move to another boat it will be another "V" between 35 and 42. Just trying to stay happy with the current boat, BUT I've always got a wondering eye kind of like I was doing when I ran into Kenny's...
haha I think you need to ride on a cat a few times my friend

Me too, I've got my eye on a couple of boats. Lets just say it won't be another west coast boat, and it won't have Bravo's or eggbeaters.......
So, what are you thinking? Cat / "V"?

I love the way they ride... The ride is just incredible, but I find it so hard to break old habits. The kids like the cabin for movies and Play station, wife likes the cabin for all the aminities (sp?) it has to offer, etc, etc.....
But there is no question the ride of a cat, once it has the proper amount of air under it, is great... :)

after reading not bravos, and not egg-beaters--the stuff that starts to come to mind = SKATER, MTI, NORTECH etc
Yeah yeah I know--Fountain, Outerlimits etc build V's with 6's but I like cats

I'm thinking cat, but I've always loved the Gladiator and there are a couple of 37 or 39 Outerlimits that I would go for. Something in the 200k or less range, and not older than lets say 2000. There are some good deals in the mid 100's right now, boats that were double or more that new. I'll give mine away too so I guess it's just the market right now. I figure I've got about 120k in mine, plus tons of man hours and if I get 50 for it I'll be lucky.

Definantly not a baller. Excursion is 7 years old and paid for and so is the boat. I'll probably take a loan for 60 or 70 percent of what ever I buy. I could live with my boat another year, I bought it in 99 and it's in better condition than most one season old boats I see. I think I'm just ready for some new scenery, not to mention something I would feel comfortable running to Catalina and back in. I'd sure like to go to the factory and pick out my options, but that's not an option, unless I buy another Kachina................

I know you're bent about the trailer, but they COULD have just welded a hitch onto this thing:

In comparison, I would be happy they stuck the tandem under it instead of nothing. At least you get to use the boat whilest your nice(r) one is completed.

So here is the situation! I have developed a nice leak from the seal between the transfer case and tranny! I am trying to get it in and finished by friday!!!!! If not, towing is not in my future and I would rather fix it for $500 now rather than replace the transfer case.....so therefore I am on hold for Sunday until further notice! Unless I can come up with a tow vehicle, which isn't likely!
And I don't wanna hear shit from you SuperSonic about your DODGE!

What, no cows, fairys, or other animals??? :D J/k Nice boat....probably the nicest Kachina I have seen. It looks like a real boat too!!! Bitchin boat.
very nice boat...does anybody read power boat??????...look at the small advertisements I think near the front of the mag.. If I am correct, it looks very similar to, I think its a nordic advertisement, but Im not quite shure. The only difference is the kachina is a vee. Did you pick the paint? regardless nice rig.
