Went to blow out a candle today, tipped it to fast and got some wax on a good shirt. Any tips on removal?
Thanks Mike in CT.

Forget about it. Even if got the wax out you would be left with an oil stain.

Freeze it, chip off all the wax you can, then take a brown paper bag(use the area without the writing) and a medium/hot iron and press. Move the paper as it absorbs so that you don't redeposit the wax. You may have to use a spot remover after, but take your time and try to suck up as much as you can with the iron. This has worked for me in the past. Good Luck!!!!

I'm just gonna razor it all off. Next time I'll know better. Heck if I eliminate the shrubbery now maybe next time I won't have this problem.

i dont know if this will work for your shirt....but this works great if you get wax in your carpet....
lay down some news paper....iron it with a clothes iron at low temp....and pull it up...works great. :)

depending on what the shirt is made out of weaker mineral spirts will take out the oil resdue left from the wax.

After you get the bulk of the wax off you can put the shirt wax side down over the sink and pour boiling water through where the wax is. Or so I've heard :rollside:

Whoya and Goad have the same success as I did except I used a ton of papertowls as they were a bit more absorbent.
Use the low temp iron and keep changing the papertowl until the wax is gone.
Then I would try the hot water thing over the sink.
If that does not work put some stain remover on it after the wax is gone and then put some papertowels over the spot with a book sitting over it for awhile. As the papertowles will absorb as much as it can out of the area.
After that then throw it away!!! Or you can put a patch on it!! ha ha
