It has been kind of a strange week.
Was gonna go to Pleasonton for the rod run, but the weather is gonna be to cold and damp for my tastes.
The guy that bought the 5 acres next door to me has cleaned it all up, fixed up the pond, and has been burning huge brush piles over there, one every day since Monday. Since the last couple of major fires to come through here have come from that direction, it is a trifle unnerving to see 15 ft. tall flames over there, about 100 ft. from my house.
Interestingly, he has let it be known that he may not build a 3400 sq. foot house there after all, that he may just sell the property and let somebody else build whatever they like. He only intends to ask, "Around 300k for it".
Let me see here, if his bare 5 acres goes for 300k, my 6.5 acres and 1800 sq foot house with a 600 sq. foot shop should be worth... :rollside: :)
