View Full Version : The Mini Van Is Done !!!

Well nearly done. Need to mount the fuel cell, align the front end, fab a firewall etc.
The van runs like crazy. It will burn down the tires effortlessly and pushes real hard in the seat when you give it any amount of throttle. I have a few more things to tidy up but it definately is done and driving.
Not bad for an Oklahoma street machine. With Trident Custom Boats Engine #1 in it.
A few pics.............

Thanks :)
It has a single "U" joint joining the shorty powerglide to the 9" rearend. The rearend is mounted solid (no suspension) with ladder bars. 456 gears spool and Moser axles

Thanks Mandy and Kim.
Recent complications with the wife has led to a video camera to concrete unfortunate occurrence.
But I do have pics of the buildup and trident engine #1 idling (the engine in the van) on a test stand in my driveway a few years back that should do the trick.
The only intact complete buildup is On This Message Board (http://astrosafari.com/) They don't allow direct links but in their forums in the v8 swap section. Project Big Block Safari is there from start to finish. Even the engine idling
But I will get some of it in the van soon enough. :)
This is the BEFORE picture almost a year ago.

Wow what a difference. :rollside: :rollside: I need to park in the same spot for the AFTER picture.

Probably been more than a month since I've posted
You might need to look a few pages back or change the number of days viewed to see it. I think it was Feb when the last post was made

Very, very nice. (I'd love to see you pull up to daycare with a couple of car seats and "Baby On Board" signs. Leave it idling when you run in to get the little ones! :))
