Playstation 3 Seller Attacked, Robbed In La Palma

Two men who had agreed to buy two PlayStation 3 consoles from a third man attacked the seller at a La Palma McDonaldÂ’s restaurant early Monday morning.
The victim -- a man in his 20s whose name was not released -- was assaulted with pepper spray and robbed of the coveted consoles.
The seller met the two men around 1 a.m. at a McDonaldÂ’s restaurant on Moody Street and Orangethorpe Avenue, according to Sgt. Terry Kim of the La Palma Police Department.
One man sprayed the victim with pepper spray, then the pair fled on foot with the PS3 consoles, Kim said.
The victim was treated by paramedics at the scene, he said.
The suspects are described as men in their 20s.
The victim said that he had advertised the consoles on Craigslist.com, and was trying to sell both items for $5,000. PS3s retail for $500 or $600 per unit.

Man that was bound to happen....last week at work target and walmart were requesting police escorts for the people who bought the "10" PS3's.....when you can sell them for triple or more on e-bay you know people are going to jack them.

The guys that took the ps3's have been caught....La Palma PD traced the emails and phone calls and arrested them already :)

Apparantly the theives told the seller that they needed to meet at 1am because they had a 6am flight and the ps3's were gifts....Either way....not a very smart meeting location and time......

I don't know why people have to be the first to have these things. Staying in line for day's, etc. In 2-3 months there will be enough for every one. In a year the price will drop too. It's crazy what people will do to play video games.

I dunno...I got my info from my neighbor who talked to one of the La Palma Sergeants...
As dumb as the seller was for meeting at 1am....the theives were pretty stupid for leaving a trail of emails and phone calls that were easily tracable.....
