I was riveted. I can't remember when I had so much fun watching a train video. That is too much action for me to have in one day.

Don't be a hater just because you don't like trains.

Sue HM, he's got deep pockets and makes 500 large in his pajamas. It's ironic he's so upset over 300 bucks.

Trains are cool, I got a great job, I love going to work every day, bright sunshine, clean air, great bosses, who'da thunk?? This is the best time of my life, the most happy I have ever been, kinda like semi retirement...now I understand why the older guys in old days planted themselves firmly in passenger when they had enough juice to hold it...they coasted to retirement...
I run these now.....

Rio,
If you're really interested in trains, there's a place in Portola CA where you can take a 2 hr class and then drive the train yourself in the train yard. From what I hear, it's pretty damn cool to do.

Heres another great one....it's called Conductor...shot by a CSX guy back east somewhere, lot of night shots at sidings....whatever he's on, it's hot, everyone is in the hole waiting for him.....;)

looking at what CAS just wrote, you could also do the same thing at the Orange Empire Museum in Perris....little closer...;)

So ol' Rio is a whistle dick, huh? It is a great job, I'm anxious to get out of the yard and over the road myself. For now, I guess I'll enjoy sleeping in my own bed every night.

Hadn't someone posted a railroad forum link once . I looked for it to pass it on to my friend since he works for union pacific but no luck.

Kachina, don't be in such a hurry to get out of the yard....the road sucks, long nights, longer days....and watching all them boats heading east must just suck.....

I gotcha brotha, like I said, I'm enjoying my own bed everynight :D Just kinda sucks knowing that guys I trained are making 4k a half already :( Heck, my son is bringing home bigger checks than me and he just marked up as a laborer in diesel circus. Of course I tend to ride out my bumps in Havi :D:D:D

A few employess frequent www.socalrailfan.com/forums , mostly foamers though. I found it trying to find pics of myself working, good group of people on there. there used to be one called therailforums, it has split. The better of the split can be found at www.yardlimits.com they are a friendly group who are usually pretty informative. If he wants to talk to a bunch of old kermudgins with nothing positive to say about anything and some of the strangest left wing Blown472 type politcal beliefs, he can go to therailforum disenters site (http://www.phpbbcity.com/forum/index.php?mforum=trf20022006) I don't really recommend the last one though.

Try this one...a LOT of rails hang out on this board, and it is very user friendly.....they have strict rules about posting and enforce them, but some folks like that.....

Isn't drainodors a pay site? Kind of a crappy one at that. I just don't care for the threading format.
