Rev limiter is set at 42mph stock. With the first step, a CDI, it will do 52mph. That is as much as I've done.

I've seen 45 on mine GPS, but I have 27" tires on it. I would be very, very wary about doing a CDI. The place I bought mine from advised heavily against it. Every single wadded up motor that has been brought back for warranty work had a CDI, which rendered each and every warranty void. Rumour is, they not only raise the rev limiter, but they advance the timing nearly 10 degrees over stock and heat them up big time.
I am probably going to do something, but not a CDI. Probably pipes, air intake and ignition work.

Doesn't the pipe and all that other stuff void the warranty too?
Mine is bone stock with just a CDI and it will do 53 with 25" tires.

Rich guys down the road from me use them in the mud to go to there duck blinds. The also have them on a small john deere 6410. They usually last a winter season before they are junk. They probably spend 30k a year on them. But hey whats money to them. He just sold his helicopter for 9 million.

I've had a CDI with K&N filter, 27" tires, cage, seats, all heavy equip on mine for over a year. I run the heck out of it. 6 adults in it one time. Never had a problem. When I bought my extended warranty I asked the dealership (corona yamaha) if putting a CDI would void my warranty and they told me no. Just remember to let the fan run when you turn the engine off it continues to run. .02
