Just wondering if anyone has bought a watch from this site in the past:
http://www.glooks.com
I need to pick up a new watch and it looks like this site has the best prices by far (plus free shipping)...If fact, the prices look almost to good. I'm not looking for a "baller" watch, just somehting nice from Swiss Army. Their prices are way better than anywhere else I've seen, but I wan to make sure I don't get a replica either.
Thanks,

My brother in law just started working at Tourneau. Tell me what watch your looking at so I can see what the price is on that glooks site and see what if he can do better for you. He works in Century City so I don't know if that location is good for you or how he might be able to do the transaction remotely but if your interested I'll check it out for you.

No problem. I don't know if he works tomorrow but he will this weekend so I'll probably get back to you on Monday as I'll be in Havi this weekend. I don't know what he can do if anything but I'll check.

swiss army makes a good tough watch. maybe not a baller sort of watch but good all around everyday watch especially if you are hard on them.

I know I was screwing with you. I'm happy with my $300 Bulova's. Even if I had a few million dollars I think I would rather spend 30 grand on a boat instead of a watch.

You and me both.
What style are you looking for? Are you looking for something with diamonds? My watch has a full diamond bezel with a diamond cluster face. Best of all it doesnt require batteries.

They appear to have some good prices on some of their stuff, IM a watch *****, when I quit drinking and doing drugs I decided to buy something that I really didnt need instead of an 8 ball, wow, you cant imagine how many nice watches I have!!! The way I look at it they were free!!!! The real piss off is how many watches I put up my nose!! Damn it.........
I like the Roli's, yea expensive but not many things that you can use for a few years and get your money back.
Panerai are the real mans watch, huge watch, Arnold wears one, and I cant think of a better reason to wear one than that.
Have them ship it to Arizona and save paying the cali nazi tax!

Tell me about it. I have had a watch fetish for years. It started innocently enough with a Swatch collection and went sideways from there.
That being said, my favorite daily watches have always been Citizens. I wore them every day in the teams except when operating. Once operating, there is no equal to the G-shock... period.

Yeah dude retail on that is 395 so that 284 is a really good price. It would be best to get it from that site unless you find another site for cheaper. He might be able to get around that price but wouldn't be able to beat it enough to make it lucrative for you and in all honesty he wouldn't make more than about 10 cents.
For all you ballers that by the watches for a grand or more though there is more room to work with and I can see what he can do for you.

Or the BabyG's for girls...perfect watch for my job. All the firefighters I work with wear G-Shock.

I always had swiss watches . Still have a gold Eterna dress watch I bought in 1980 . However I prefer chronos , so I bought a Fossil Blue at the duty free shop at the border . Good to 100 meters [ I'll never test it unless I'll be drowning in the ocean :2purples: ] .Can't find it on Fossil's site,
only on europian sites .Cost me a whopping $ 64 us.

G-shocks are the ultimate "beat em up" watches. I used to smack mine around with a hockey stick just for fun. Couldn't break the damm thing. :rollside:

it better be a comfortable watch! just got done watchin pulp fiction.
so, i had to add a laugh for yall
The way your dad looked at it, this watch was your birthright. He'd be damned if any of the slopes were gonna get their greasy yellow hands on his boy's birthright. So he hid it in the one place he knew he could hide something: his ass. Five long years, he wore this watch up his ass. Then when he died of dysentery, he gave me the watch. I hid this uncomfortable piece of metal up my ass for two years. Then, after seven years, I was sent home to my family. And now, little man, I give the watch to you.
"that was Captain Koons, Pulp Fiction"

what is this "g-shock" you are speaking of??
Realistically, the best watch in the world... all things being equal. Great durability, unbeatable accuracy, different zone alarms, countdown, timer, temperature, waterproof further than you are and you can literally run it over and it still works.
They are also about $60. They are a true geeks watch if you wear it in public, but for anything tactical, paramedic, LE, sports or diving related, it has no equal.
Slice it however you want to.. if your ass is going to depend on your watch, I have not met anyone that will wear anything but a G-shock in that situation. The band has to be changed out to a higher quality band that doesn't require the other side to be pinned to stay on. We all change our bands out first thing to a "Waterborne Austraila" band for two reasons... one, if one pin breaks, gets ripped off or whatever the other one keeps your watch on. Two, you can put your wedding ring on it and it doesn't touch your arm and hurt and three, it looks tougher. Lastly, it will go over a wetsuit no problem.
Edit: I just found the Waterborne on a website... here it is. You heard it here first... I heavily, heavily recommend it for any everyday watch or tactical use.

Here is aforementioned Citizen "Aqualand" with wedding ring on strap...

Thats a nice watch for what seems to be a good price. The only thing I would be leary about if that site is a authorized dealer, If not I wouldnt buy from it. You might wanna try Tissot, very good IMO and around the same price or a little more. This is my favorite

Have you looked at Luminox watches (http://www.luminox.com/watches.html) at all? Pretty tough and good looking.
Any way you decide to go, shoot me a PM. My best friends dad runs a wholesale distribution place in FL. Let me know what you want and if he can get it, I'll get you a price. :)
