ULTRA26 # 1

Just curious if anyone has heard anything about this event. Was anyone lucky enough to get the hole in one for the new Ultra 26 Deck?
Thanks

It was a great event-- thanks for everyone's support. We had a total of 56 people, tons of prizes, unfortunately, NO hole in one, and everyone had a great time. People have already mentioned they will be back for next year-- look for a even bigger and better event next year-- it will be the same morning of the Parade of Lights again.
Pics will be posted within the next day or so.
Thanks again to all sponsors-
Ultra Boats-- JW-- thanks again!!!
Rude Performance Boating Supply
Cobra Performance Boats
Magic/Sleek Powerboats
Absolute Speed and Marine
American Outdoors Coolers
Car Toys in Lake Havasu
Calloway Golf (thanks Barry Mac)
LakeRacer "Desert Storm" Poker Run
And all of the Participants and the Refuge Golf Club
For the record-- the closest to pin was about 2.5 ft away on a 125 yard par 3 and the long drive was around 380 yards on Hole 18 :) :D
Bottom Line-- we raised nearly $1500 for our charity-- the Pat Tinnel Memorial Fund !!
Thanks to all and we will see you again next year.

As the groups were being released to go to their holes-- someone played a joke on ShippingGuy (mike) and unstrapped his bag from the cart. Mike takes off and the bag just falls off...early in the morning and super cold...but a great start for the event :) :) For the record, Mike may have been the best single player in the tourni...Thanks for coming Mike. Good to meet you and your dad.

For the record I KNOW I strapped that bag down. I must say it was embarrassing, but very funny. It was VERY COLD and WINDY to say the least!! Patrick it was very nice meeting you and great job on putting together this tournament for a great cause. My dad an I both had a great time and look forward to participating again next year.

if there would have been an award for the most layed back golfer slowinhavasu is your guy. he bases his golf score on how much he gets to use his golf clubs :rollside:
Patrick did a great job putting this thing together! especially considering he did it all by himself. you can count me in for the next one (maybe i'll even learn how to golf by then :2purples:)
i had a great time despite the wind and cold temps. it was great meeting some of you and put a face to some of the screen names. and if i had to guess, i'd say andy01's cart had to get a new set of tires on it before they would let anyone else drive it
patrick, carey, todd and kevin, thanx for letting me cruise the course with you on saturday and show me how the game is supposed to be played :D

Shit golf is easy, it's trying to get the golf cart to stay on all four tires. Plus I never got stuck, it was close but once I pushed with my foot on the floor I was able to keep it going........ :rollside:

That was me that lost the clubs in the beginning. I swear somebody unstrapped them. It was definitely embarrassing. On top of that. After going back and getting the clubs back on the cart we lost JW and his dad and could not find hole #7 where we were to tee off. Good times for sure!

No s**T!! I really liked the course, but it would be nice if they put some signs up on where to go to the next hole here and there. Also, putting some yardage markers a little more visible on the fairways would be great too, not just on the small sprinkler heads. Beautiful course and I cannot wait to play it again in better conditions. Wish I could have met more people here from the boards.

Damn wind really put a damper on an otherwise great day. It was the first time I've played that course and I think it's gorgeous. :jawdrop:
Patrick and BoatBling, great job with a tough situation. It was great. Didn't think we would win but luckily one of my guys was playing on fire, despite the wind. :crossx:
Looking forward to seeing you all again at next year's tournament.

The same, but it was not best ball. Best ball would be that everybody hits and you then all hit from the best shot and so on. The format of this tournament was best score on each hole.

You are all very welcome. Thanks again for the good words and your support.
I love the suggestions for next year-- Best Ball it will be.
I warned them about extra drink carts--hopefully next year I can get some ***boat girls and bartenders set up about every 3 holes with some drinks-- thoughts?
Blane-- thanks for the heads up on the chicken-- actually didn't know that was included and didn't get to try it. I will take your word for sure :D
I did ask the day before if Rhino's could be allowed-- that was a definite NO, so I guess we will be stuck with the regular (not fast enough for Andy) golf carts. Maybe they could upgrade the tires though- haha :)
The last team finished the event in less than 4 hrs and 15 minutes-- very respectable. I was very pleased with that.
I can relate to the additional need for signs on the course--E502 got lost just trying to take pics and when you are driving down the street to the next hole--seems a little strange :)
Agreed with Toby-- the community is turning out to be top dollar and beautiful--some of those homes are just insane...I want one :rollside:
Pictures are coming--I must apologize, E502 and his beautiful wife were nice enough to take around 40 pics-- trying to get some of all the groups they could find. I just have to upload them and put them up here. I hope to have this done over the next day or so.
I'm stoked for next year-- information will be out next year late summer. Pencil it in for Parade of Lights weekend.
Thanks again-
Patrick

Most confusing course I've ever tried to negotiate...got lost twice and had to ask for directions...who woulda' thunk that the little walkway between houses lead to another set of holes! Sheesh.
