Got a request the other day from No Regrets (Brian) on the boards for a 2LT new body HD Silverado with Navigation..... Told Brian it was not available and that LTZ's were the only one that could get it..... Brian wasn't happy with that answer but said "ask" and if not he would order a LTZ..... Well I asked and was told not an option. Then asked them to "ask" why..... Then was told because of the different interiors from LT to LTZ LTZ navigaton wouldn't work. Got a E-mail today..... It will be orderable in the next 30 days... I think it will be slightly different like the one's in the 06 Suburbans ( which I have and works great) but it will now be an orderable item.....
Hey guys, I have their attention..... Anything else we want to see different?
I don't know if I had much to do with it BUT the 07 HD's with the 6.0L will now have a non Allison 6 speed auto transmission.... With 353 HP and 373 ft. lbs. this motors should tow ALOT better, andalmost as good as the 8.1L, but get much better gas mileage......

I'd have to say my 6.0 vortec max in the 4x4 1500 LT is great. Towing is a night and day difference, lot of punch and gets 19MPG on the hwy when not towing. When I am not towing or running up hills I just put in regular unleaded and it's happy.
Wish list? The high output 6.0 and Allison (or at least the HD tranny) in the Avalanche.

Great other than the wheel gap on the rear tires...... If your going to lift the truck it makes it easy BUT if you are going to leave it stock I think it is a little to high in the back end.... GM says that is for the higher towing capacity....

I'd like GM to sell the SS427 Silverado. you know the purple one with the 6spd and LS7 that was at sema.
if not that, then gimme a standard cab Silverado in SS trim with the 6.0L and either 4l65E tranny or the 6-speed manual.
oh and i want it loaded, blue with a sunroof.

Subject: Fw: navigation on Silverado LT models?
Good morning,
Good news for Selman Chevy. The navigation non availability on Silverado
1LT and 2LT was an artificial block due to lack of overall navigation
capacity. Now that things have opened up, they will be available for order
on Silverado 1LT and 2LT in the next 30 days.

With the FS Ute Nav constraint, we only offer it on our LTZ on Silverado.
It's always better to launch with a N/A than a constraint.....
Now that capacity has been increased across all FS Trucks, look for Nav to
opened to 2LT and 1LT in the next 30 days.
Thanks.

navigation on Silverado LT models?
Good morning,
Do we have plans to make the navigation radio available in the LT models?
Everything we have shows LTZ only but there seems to be pictues of LT
interiors floating around the internet. Are these pre-production mock ups
that never made the final build list or do we have plans to make it
available?
Thanks!

Not gonna see that anytime soon on the 07 new body style tahoe or sub.... In fact they keep lowering the rebates on those..... at one point there was $4,000 then 2 months ago it went to $3,000 now it is only $2,000... So I know they are selling good... I'm taller than your lanky a$$. I am 6'7" and I have plenty of room in my Silverado. Well except for one thing. They put the pedals way too far away from the firewall so midgets like Holy Moly can drive them. They need to make the pedals adjustable. I have that on my Malibu and it is great.

Keep the 8.1 w/Allison.
100K miles on ours, trouble free.
As strong as the day I brought it home.
Any truth to the big block diesel?
And,, what will GM offer to compete with the '08 Ford F450?
Something like a 4500HD?
The Ford F450 looks nice, 24.000lb towing, but I don't trust their engine and drivetrain. Never will.
The GM Top kick,, just doesn't cut it.
We'll be buying a 17.000lb WW Fiver and the GM 3500 isn't rated to tow it.

RWD V8 cars at reasonable prices.
The vette is cool but too sportscarish/exotic, it is a great value though compared to all the other cars that won`t keep up with it.
The solstice is ok, I don`t really like the looks but I could definently live with it if it had a LS2 or LS7.
The new camaro looks like it will be a hit. Any word on what the pricing will be for it? The only things I would change on it would be the mirrors don`t seem to look right and the nose is too pointed for my taste.

From bbconline.com
"Russia's motor industry has been given the Kremlin seal of approval.
Under a new patriotic policy, Russian bureaucrats will have to drive locally-made cars.
The Volga, an upmarket car produced since Soviet times, is to make up at least 80% of the government's fleet."
