Wifes Parents are fossils.
Death sucking on a lifesaver.
In their late 90's, overflowing with cash & real estate, but way too old to spend it.
So their major past time is watching the wife and I raise the kids.
They have an old term for everything we do and they are stuck in their ways and ideas:
The quads are "sand tractors."
Automatic transmissions in your car are a bad idea because they're "Trick."
Bad guys are "Dime Store Hoods".
Cops are "The Authorities".
Disc brakes just a cheaper way to build cars.
Air conditioning draws down the cars battery until it goes dead.
Un-plug the TV when it's off because it still draws power.
The boating industry needs to go back to Flat Head Fords.
Bring back reform schools because Spencer Tracy got Mickey Rooney to act right with that method.

That's good stuff. My inlaws are there also. We go see them every weekend just to let them know they still matter. It doesn't hurt that my father in law has a 24x60 work shop either

Wife's Dad was a Captain in WW2, and they called him the old man way back then.
A lot of their boats (a boat goes on a ship is the difference I'm told) had flat head Fords for power.
"Flat heads helped us win the war, and all the kids learned to waterski behind them".
Brand loyality to the end.
Cool sounding motors in boats I have to add.
