I am in the market for a ew boat, and have always loved Schiadas. The one i am starting to consider has a naturaly asperated BBC w/ alu heads. Every other Schiada i have ever sen has een force induction,be it ither super charged, or turboed (about 50-50).
Will say 400 ponies get me to 70??
If Not how much will it take??
This will of course be w/ a v-drive, not a "sucker boat" (jet).
Thank ya fella's

It might. But if the price is right, get that sucker! You can always upgrade later. You will just love the way it drives and handles. Second to none. And you will have a boat that you can take your family in and is capable of handling all the hp you could ever afford to give it.

Damn, knew i forgot some info.....
It's a 21' er from 1976. I have to assume very similar to todays river cruiser.
The motor is a 461" chev, and 400 hp was mearly a nice round #.
Guess i get to go take a better look http://free.***boat.net/ubb/biggrin.gif

I have a 1979 20' Super Sport, that runs 70mph at 5500 rpm, with a asperated 468" that as pretty much stock.
The 21' is a heavier boat, so alot depends on the gear and prop you have, but Dave is right,it easy to up grade to get where you want to be.
Go for it
