Is there a way to save or down load the videos from you tube. There are a couple that I want to save to my laptop, and I don't know how or if you can.
Can it be done?
Right clicking does not give me any save options.

I've used video capture software called Camtasia. They give you a free trial. I don't know of any other way to do it, other than using the embed code they give you to embed into a webpage, I've done that before. Right clicking won't do it, it is more involved than that.
Here's a link to Camtasia...

That works if I am online. But there are some great video clips I want to use in my Retirement seminars, so I won't be online, and I want to put the videos into my power point presentation.

holy,
i have found that camtasia works really well for exactly what you want to do. i have done this before and inserted them right into PP presentations, works nicely.

I will try that. I tried the savetube one, and I successfully saved the file to my laptop, but I have to open the file by opening the wimpy .flv program. If I try to just open the .flv file without opening via the wimpy program, it won't run.

Alright, the www.savetube.com is by far the easiest way to save the file. Now, there has got to be an easier way to initiate the wimpy media player or convert the .flv file to a .wav file or similar?
The wimpy media is fine if I am just looking at these videos, but I need the ability to have them automatically play when they come up in a powerpoint presentation.

Have you tried Windows media player, open the URL then save the video.

another very easy way is to copy the URL into an email and email yourself then keep it in a manage mail folder
